Police haven’t posted yer but lots of friends and family have posted about a Melissa.

An urgent search has been launched to trace a missing 25-year-old Edinburgh woman following her disappearance.

Appeals were sparked online on Wednesday evening (October 26) to locate Melissa Longmore after friends and family issued "extreme concerns" for her welfare.


Police Scotland have confirmed to Edinburgh Live that the 25-year-old was last seen leaving her home in the Liberton area at around 10.20pm on Tuesday (October 25.)

Issuing an appeal post to locate Melissa, her family said in a post:

"Melissa is 25 years old, white, female, 5ft 8ins in height and of medium build. She has light brown hair and a pale skin tone"Melissa was last seen leaving her home in Liberton, Edinburgh at 10.20pm on Tuesday the 25th of October. She was wearing black leggings, grey T-shirt & black cardigan and was carrying a mustard yellow backpack.

Just been flicking through insta stories and apparently this lady has again gone missing, this time she is based in South London around the Brixton area.

Did proceed with caution as wasn't sure if it was the same person but had a look on facebook and the image being shared is the same as on FB with the person's location being Scotland at that point.

Not been seen or in contact since Friday apparently so hopefully she is located safely like in 2022.

Yes that is pretty much the same post I saw on someone's instagram I follow who is based in London.

Same person as who disappeared and then was then located a few days later in October 2022.

Hope for the same outcome but it is worrying.

A rare double disappearance a few years a part. Might be life style choices but you don't see it often here on WS. Hope she is found safe.
