Is silverknowes a new one?

I think so. Again, it adjoins the recreation park, but I can't see any footpath from the area, to the park. There may be a little alleyway between the houses I've missed though. I'm sure that park is key to the search.

2 Feet Tall? That is the size of an infant. I bet they meant closer to 3 feet tall.

Seaching specifically in the immendiate area around his home.

Additional info re description. 2 ft tall?! Wearing blue jogger bottoms and a top with dinosaur on it. Possibly beige hoohded coat with brown shoes.

Focus remains in Edinburgh.


Any new info at all?!
No evidence of any criminality, concern grows with passing of time. Please continue searching properties, check nieghbours, empty properties - anywhere that a 3 yr old would seek shelter.

Possible he could have opened the doors at the flats.

All key members of family spoken to.

No suspects - no evidence of criminality.
This is a missing person enquiry. (HE IS THREE????!!!!).

No sightings at all.

Looking at CCTV - last time he was seen was at 9pm last night.

No one else has access to the property except mother & siblings.

No properties of interests.

No formal detentions or arrests (???).

Cannot confirm who is assisting them.

Not gone missing previously.

Normally shared bedroom with his twin, but was alone last night.
Mother was last to see him.

Gah, they could be talking about a 30 year old if I didnt know better.

Park is marked with a dot (it's very small) and the area they seem to be searching now is circled. Mikaeel's house has the pin.

Still no signs of criminality so they have no suspects. Family members all cooperating, reporter asks if this includes father, police stated yes, all key family members.

They have had NO sightings reported at all. Which raises great concern.

They believe Mikaeel is capable of opening the heavy security front door.

Mikaeel usually shares the bedroom with his twin sister but last night slept in the bedroom alone.

Police are reviewing CCTV for clues

It's possible that a three-year-old got out of bed, put on shoes and jacket, and left home, waking no one, unlocking and opening a security door, and leaving no trace in the vicinity, but it's not the least bit likely, IMO!:notgood:

Possibly, but I can tell you that my 5 & 6yo (boy & girl) share a room and my boy ALWAYS ends up in our bed in our room, leaving his sister to sleep alone, even when they sometimes share a bed together. It is possible that his sister behaves the same way and crawls in with a sibling or mom.

I don't know if LE use the term 'assisting with enquiries' in the US. I always think it means much more than it appears to say, superficially, when UK police use it, but I can't really put into words what I mean.

Yes, the superintendent is reiterating this now, she says he is capable of dressing himself. Did mikaeel decide to go on an adventure because he woke in his room alone? He is 3, but the police have said it is a possibility and as there is no evidence of any criminality a possibility they have to consider.

It's technically possible although I think he's a little too old for that phase. I had to install latches so high up on the door that my son couldn't reach them even with a chair. He was determined to go out and explore by himself and you could not even go to the bathroom without him trying to get out. He thought it was hilarious. But Mikaeel does not sound like he's got this same kind of drive to get out and about in him. Unless he was really motivated to go somewhere and couldn't wait.

Oh of course, but that jumps out at me, whether he left of his own accord, or not.

Wakes up alone in the room, everyone still sleeping, gets dressed and goes off looking for something do..

I saw an interview with kindergarten teacher somewhere, but don't recall if she said Mikaeel attended yesterday. Has anybody seen that mentioned?
