There is no new baby, the police woman at the last press release said there were twins plus 3 older children. 2 boys, 2 girls.

Maybe the mother let him sleep alone in the room due to fears the twin may catch what he had?

Is he a 'just turned three' kind of three or 'nearly four' kind of three? They really make a transition from toddler to little kid in that year.
We don't know what kind of 'unwell'. A bit of a cold? Tummy upset? I think most parents would check on their kids before they (the parents) go to bed to make sure they are covered etc. Nothing to do with well or unwell. But the mum just had a baby so maybe she was a bit overwhelmed.
But babies need to be fed several times at night so she should have been up at regular intervals. How old is the baby, does anybody know?

Baby is reported to be newborn. Not sure exactly how new.

I can't write what I think happened but I do not have a good feeling about this. I don't think it will take too long to find him. JMO.

Wow. I'm seriously confused now. I was sure it started off with twins, an eight year old and a newborn. So there are five children, not four?

Baby is reported to be newborn. Not sure exactly how new.

The last press release said the twins were the youngest children in the family.

Definitely said he has 4 siblings, 2 boys and 2 girls. A twin (girl) and 3 older siblings.

ETA - Even the early reports said 4 siblings, Im sure.

I can't see any footpath from the area, to the park. There may be a little alleyway between the houses I've missed though. I'm sure that park is key to the search.

There is access to the recreation area at the end of Ferry Gait Drive, there is an 0 shape turning area where there is an opening to the recreation field and footpaths to the play park.

Still I think it is unlikely that Mikaeel left the apartment and the block on his own, JMO, especially if he was unwell. Why would he leave knowing it was cold enough outside to have to wear a hat and gloves, no matter how cold it is I have to push my four year old to wear his hat and gloves and although he can put a hat on he has some trouble with his gloves and he is going on 5. I cannot imagine a 3 year old taking the time to put gloves on.

Yet I'd have thought twins would have wanted to be together more if one was unwell.

And I would have expected a parent to have done more frequent checks than usual if a 3 year old was ill..... as opposed to no checks at all.

Ok, so if he 'went for a wander' he first dressed himself, as he left he locked the front door behind him? That is all before he managed to get out the heavy front entrance door?

I've been wondering the same thing. i'd like to hear from mom whether Mikaeel typically put his coat & shoes on by himself and exited the building. I want to hear from mom if she thinks he was kidnapped.
