The name made me think he may be Nigerian? It doesn't matter to me where family are from, it's the fact there is no family member out there for this little boy. I cannot fathom it. He's been missing 24 hours. If it's a cultural thing, there would be a local church/community leader who would step forward. I don't think anyone's been asked though. :(

From what I've read the father is Of Pakistani origin, the mother's ex husband is of Nigerian origin. I do think that sadly whatever has happened to this child (and I have a few theories), it has something to do with someone he knows. The papers are implying a couple of things in my opinion. I expect they are keeping quiet as they have been briefed to, however it makes me sad that first thing today people were saying that the father had quite clearly taken him to Pakistan without there being any detail beyond the fact that a child had gone missing. Even if 9 out of 10 times a child is taken by someone who knows them, all options should be considered until facts are established. JMO.

I think there will be reasons why there isn't a family member out there being vocal. I do suspect the police have a good idea what has happened or what this is linked to and that they have perhaps suggested that no one speaks at this stage.

It's been reported that Mum is of Asian origins. Her ex husband is Nigerian and Mikaeel's Dad is of Pakistani decent.

Yes, mother is of Indian descent, father is Pakistani. Both of his parents are asian, but Mikaeel's two older brothers and his older sister are half Nigerian.

Mikaeel’s beauty therapist mum Rosdeep Kular’s family originate from India.

She was married to Omotoso Adekunle Adekoya and the couple originally lived in Fife.

They married in Glenrothes in 2004 before moving to Edinburgh and had two sons T, nine, and D, seven, and daughter R, five.

The couple split and Rosdeep moved back to Kirkcaldy before she met another man and gave birth to twins, Mikaeel Zayn Kular and A on 7 May 2010.

No father was named on the twins’ birth certificate but he is believed to Asian.
