Could it be a family thing from her side?, shes Indian, first hubby was Pakistani and second was Nigerian, depending on how old school her family is they may not have been impressed by mixed race kids?, especially with a Nigerian?, and just to add i have nothing against Nigerians!.

It's other way around. First three kids have an African Dad, then Mikaeel and his twin sister have a Pakistani Dad. Mum appears to be of Punjabi Sikh origin going by her name. I doubt her parents approve of very many of her choices tbh.

Reporter on Sky News live is saying that Police are very keen to find people who have seen Mikaeel in the last few days. Also said he wasn't at nursery on Wednesday due to a cold but might have been off longer?

The Scots amaze me. It is cold and wet, the volunteers have been told to dress warmly and I can see people in light sweaters and sweatshirts. I don't think they are ignoring what they've been told - I think they think they ARE dressed warmly. I swear they don't feel the cold much. It is heartwarming that so many have turned out for Mikaeel.

I was waiting for this news to be released. I just knew it was coming, and I assure you I'm not psychic.

I wonder if they've had information which has led them to the shoreline, that was a lot of volunteers tightly packed.

The last trash collection at the apartments was one week and one day before Mikaeel officially vanished. It was picked up Wed 8th Jan. Could prove important, maybe.

I hope it is just a scent alert from a dog. If they have found an item of Mikaeel's clothing, I believe there will be little hope of finding him alive.

I'm of the opposite opinion. The police know the local community would want to help but can't risk them discovering any actual evidence so have probably sent them to look in a place where they know there wouldn't be anything to find. It would make the volunteers feel as if they've at least tried to find him.

Isn't that the area where they were looking at a handprint on a door earlier?

:banghead: I'm just a bit too far away to help out (and stuck at work, of course)

Each time I hear something new on this (potentially left alone, unconfirmed last sighting by non-family member, areas they are searching) my heart sinks a little bit more.

i dont believe this for a minute

A former detective and missing persons expert has told Sky News he believes Mikaeel may have been "professionally abducted". John Moses has said that is what the evidence points to. You can watch the interview below and read the article here.
