I doubt he ever even had a cold, just lies and excuses made to the police to hide why he wasn't at nursery. So I don't take anything she has said as fact.

My guess - compromised immune system due to long-term malnutrition (ie, starvation), coupled with traumatic injuries.

I'm sure I read a report by a neighbour saying she'd been at that house for 5 years and if it was the twins who were the subject of social services then it would be Edinburgh.

Yes, but you are assuming that the twins lived with their mother the whole time, I read somewhere on this thread they were in foster care for 18 months allegedly. Could this have been the period during which they were in Fife?

Seemingly He had a cold just before xmastime which turned into a chest infection.....and if we are to believe he was unwell on Wednesday that is a long time to be ill....may well be he passed away in the house and she panicked......
But why do Mothers panic?? Why can't they just phone for an ambulance or the Police?

Just tragic ....

I am a mother and if I panic I CALL EMERGENCY! I do not take time to think "What if this looks fishy?" There is no way I'd cover up an accident. Good mothers think of their children before self. I also feel the illness story is not adding up. Who lets their child stay home (not going to hospital) when they have a chest infection that long lasting? Don't give me the "grandmother is a doctor". My family is full of doctors and they would say go to the pediatrician or ER if your child is that sick.

Obviously I'm speculating too but the description of him having a scar on his nose and one on his neck (along with a sore on his face), the lack of pictures of him on her FB account, the length of time off nursery and him being in a room alone doesn't bode well.

Perhaps his body showed signs of ... trauma :(

This would certainly be a prime reason for saying there would be a murder investigation.

First time poster, but I have been following many stories on here.

The fact that he hasn't been to school since before Christmas? Are there any witnesses that have seen him during this time frame?

What is interesting to me is that, unless police were being very quite about this discovery, they have not had time to gather evidence from Mikaeel's body. So it implies they already had enough evidence against the mother to make an arrest, as long as they found a body?

At least his body has been found quickly, and not forever lost like dear Madeleine or reduced to a skeleton like sweet Caylee. His body will tell a story of what happened and the truth will be known in this case, I think. Just something positive to come out of all the bad news I guess.

Or maybe the body was found in a place strongly linked to her?

Sorry, I haven't seen anything that says the twins lived in Fife. There were a couple of comments on FB about the twins living with seperate foster parents by people who claimed to know the foster families.

The superintendent said it in the press conference: Mikaeel spent a portion of his life in Fife.

Mo2Willow, for some reason I can't quote your post, but welcome to WS. Even though it's under sad circumstances.

Mmmm. Still weird. Usually used for an 'alleged' something or other.

Oh, I got there! Alleged mother. Someone's as angry as we are. That'll get changed soon, I think.....

I should havee added a bit more in my post ...sorry ,I'm tired.....

I'm a panicker as well when it comes to children but first things first as you say is to
Call Emergency....a Doctor...NHS ...
I'm just sick of hearing about these Mothers that just Throw Away their Beautiful Babies :(
Its not normal to just leave them to die...

Maybe it has to do with drugs....

Earlier some one said you dont know how someone would respond if they have previous dealing with social services.I have 1 preivous dealing, My son was born premature and had a drug in his system... automatic call to social services. The drug was a headache medicine the doc gave me, shouldnt have affected the baby at all. But it did. He is perfectly fine ( took his first step today at 8 months old) But when my abusive ex left and I took out a restraining order he tried to bring that up to the judge. He also took my son to the ER because he had a red spot on his leg... having had to deal with them once before I was terrified. I thought they would blame me and use it against me. The red spot was exactly what I knew it was... he knees were red from learning how to crawl... but I was still afraid. If my lil bug was sick or hurt I would call 911 ( 999 in the uk) but others... who knows? I havent read all the news stories since they found him but i have a feeling it was an accident or a stranger or perhaps one of the other kids... as for the mom knowing someone who was involved in a gang? I know 2 people involved with MC's both are decent enough guys.. they are both out of the gamgs now... but knowing them doesnt make me a bad person.
