Hi everyone...

I've just got back home from the community search......no news or updates from police as such.
Need to say the the community has come together with enormous spirit ,its just a shame that Mikaeel is still missing....

The police had stopped all co-ordinated volunteer searches after the first one this morning but that didnt stop the community coming out to form there own groups .......We covered a lot of ground and people are coming to volunteer in rotation....2hrs searching,1 hr rest and then back out again...and then some!... some people had been out at 2 am for a few hrs then sleeping for a few , going to work..then going out again tonight.....people have come from miles away .....absolutely amazing.

Red cross are there giving out Wellington Boots, Torches, Waterproofs....and of course support as this has hit everyone hard.....
Asda,Morrison's,Tesco ,Dominoes pizza , M&S and the local shops have donated Food, Water,Juice, Coffee ,Tea etc
The Community Centre base is Open 24/7 until Monday....well done to staff...

A lot of focus has been in the beach area hundreds of torchlights can be seen after sunset....
So many young teenagers have volunteered but the police have stated that it would be better for over 18s to search......now I don't know if that's because of a leaning towards safety rather than finding anything....if you know what I mean......

There is still a heavy police presence in the area and many community officers.....in fact the Police were at the bottom of my road stopping buses, asking the drivers to look at a print out photo , I don't know if his was related as I live miles away......

There are many rumours and speculation going about......I will not elaborate.

I spoke to neighbours ,police and a lot of volunteers with most wondering about how he was able to get out of his home, 3 doors , especially with the outside door being very ,very heavy.......the police got another wee 3/4 year old to try the same kind of door and with a bit of a struggle managed to open it......so it can be done.
But I must say that Mikaeel is really small for his age...

As reported in MSM he hasn't been seen at nursery since before Xmas.......

I'm feeling chilly and need a cuppa.....as today was a rollercoaster ride.....high alert ,being vigilant and so nervous when finding clothing and other things in skips and fields.....sadly nothing that was related to the Wee Man .....

Hoping for some news soon......I will probably go out again tomorrow at some point.....so will keep you all updated....
Sorry for such a long post but need to unwind.....

Well done to you for joining the search!

It really is great to see how community's pull together during such a hard time.
From seeing all the volunteers on the news taking part, to hearing of local shops and businesses getting involved! Truly wonderful x

Thank you for the update. It is difficult to take anything positive from such an awful situation but if there was one small positive thing to take from this is the reminder it gives that community spirit is still there! I think we often forget that in life when generally people go about their day to day business with little concern for strangers.

I cannot state how powerful that photo on the Scottish Daily Mail is, or the connotations it has. That photographer should get an award.

It really is powerful isn't it?

I pray he is found, and gets to see the pictures of all the brave and loving people who care so much for him.x

Please bring him home safe.

I wonder if any of his family will make an appeal?
I'm torn on this one as a 'what would I do', I know the public judge the parents of missing children and I myself have sat at home shouting at the tv 'guilty'!

I think I would have to make an appeal. I would need the whole world to know all about my child and I would beg them to help and keep looking!
If it kept my baby in the news and media, for me I would do it

Although, thank goodness, I have never been in this situation, so who knows, I may just go completely nuts and need heavily sedated.x

I would hope a family member would make an appeal. As a mother, I would probably be so devastated that I would be rather incoherent if one of mine were missing. I know the media wants an appeal to be a balance between proper emotional reaction and coherent and together in some measure. There are some people who are either too emotional or not emotional enough. Hopefully someone in the family will come out with an appeal.

I see several different possibilities and especially with the police statement that they think it could be a "professional abduction" there is hope he is alive.

Possibilities I see are-
1. Something could have happened to Mikaeel and the story is a cover (hopefully this is the least likely as it has a grim prognosis).
2. Mikaeel could have figured a way out and perhaps got curious at hearing something outside and he is hiding somewhere or something happened to him.
3. Someone known to the family took him with bad intentions.
4. Someone unknown to the family (hired professional) got in and took the child to extended family (father's side?) in another country. This is the scenario which bodes best for Mikaeel as it means someone was not looking to harm him, just kidnap him. As for any questions about passports and ability to travel out of country- In most Muslim countries, a family can get a passport for a child even if the child is born elsewhere and holds another country's passport. The new passport would be one of the country the FAMILY lives in, not the country the child lives in. The child is then flown out with the new passport and no one even checks if it is before the child's disappearance is noticed and reported. Foreign parental abductions are not as rare as one thinks. In my experience it is quite easy for a foreign parent or grandparent to secure a passport in their own country and if they can get the child from the custodial parent, they can escape the country virtually unnoticed. Using a professional to abduct the child is one way of doing this.

My first hope is that Mikaeel is alive, safe and well. My second hope is that he is returned home to his family, especially his siblings. My heart breaks for his mother and siblings. It must be horrific to be missing their brother. :twocents:

The above is MOO :moo:

Thank you so much for sharing. Is there a vibe as to what kind of search you are doing? Have the police given any indication if they believe he is alive?

The Police are not really saying anything or giving out out any indication either way......they are thanking the community for all the search efforts......its a bit confusing for locals as they were receiving maybe 3 or 4 updates from the Chief of Police yesterday , and only 1 today at the first search.....so people are asking if they know more and if the searches are in vain....

Everyone is still on the look out for Mikaeel but also his clothing,shoes.....lots of opinions going about , but no one is giving up.....

I think there is another Police organised search... 10am tomorrow

Summary from the mainstream media info we have.

Mikaeel was away from his normal routine (kindergarten) for about a month before he disappeared.

Mikaeel's normal sleeping routine departed from its norm, the night he disappeared ( he slept alone instead of with his twin)

Mikaeel was unwell. He had a severe chest infection. He was undersized for his age. He had a sore on his lip, scar on his nose and (from photo) possible large scar on the back of his neck.

Mikaeel is from a broken home. There have been two relationships producing children but the men are not living with Mom.

Mom had some sort of relationship with a drug dealer who was shot dead with a sub machine gun.

There appears to be a conflicting mix of religions in the family

No family member has chosen to speak to the media about the missing child in the family

Police have repeatedly said they are not looking at any criminal activity whilst at the same time conducting searches of trash cans etc where a deceased body would be found, and would be unlikely to have got there itself. And having more forensic experts on scene than I can count.

Social media is alight with allegations. Mainstream media is dropping hints everywhere that they have access to history that has vital bearing on this case.

A three year old little boy who people (not family as they haven't spoken) say would not dream of crossing a road without mom, has walked out of his home in the dark. Too sick to go to school or sleep with his twin sister, but fully dressed, by himself, right down to his gloves. And he has not come back. Not been found, in a busy, suburban city where hundreds of people are looking for him.

This timeline tells a tale. It will be one of tragedy and sorrow, I believe.

I just want to know where they put Allah's little Angel at this point. That's the only redemption available for whoever took him away, as far as I'm concerned. I don't care what happens to them. This little boy needs to be brought home.

Shades of Ayla Reynolds, huh? :(

The scenario of Mikaeel being spirited off to Pakistan is a comforting one, but won't be plausible if it is discovered dad is happily settled in the UK, working and with no intention of leaving. And that is what I believe will be the case.

I had thought about parental abduction, especially taken to another country, it does happen.
I wonder why take mikael without his twin sister? Maybe easier to take one? Or was the plan to remove both children, but because that night he was sleeping alone it just happened that way?

Oh I don't know, just thinking aloud, I'm not accusing anyone within the family.
I'm sure the police will have checked everyone involved with mikael. X

Aw..Thank you guys.....Its hard not to do anything when something like this happens, sort of on your doorstep.......and I took all of you's with me :)

Nothing as yet .... but I did go down that road and it wasn't really as close to the sea....although headed in the direction of......

This reminds me of the April Jones case, and the massive search and community coming together, but at least there was a witness very early on, here there is nothing it seems, poor wee lad

48 hours plus missing is not encouraging but some children have turned up after this time lapse alive and well

Though fears and suspicions are easy to have my instinct tells me he is OK somewhere though that could be wishful thinking

God speed for a happy ending

The coastgaurd , Helicopters, Firefighters and Volunteers have all been down at the beach and in the water.....

His father being settled in UK would not indicate the boy is not overseas. Many times grandparents are instrumental in spiriting a child off to the home country to make sure a child receives the proper education in their eyes. While I was in training I was sent to live in a community and knew about this from talking with people who said it was best for children with a foreign mother or father to be educated in the religious and cultural ways of their father or mother. It is possible the extended family (if they had the funds) to hire someone. It happens more than you may think.

there are two different reports about the morning of the Thursday

The mother went to check on him and the mother went to wake him

If the latter is true Im wondering why she would do this so early if he was ill and off nursery. Was it to take him with her while the other kids were dropped off at school? Anyone know if she was working and if so who looked after him during the day? When he was not at nursery or off ill?

Hugs and a virtual cuppa from me Deep12 :tyou:

Were you given a description of what clothes to look for? I noticed the first reports said dinosaur pyjamas but saw one that said jogging bottoms.

I dunno - I can't even seem to get out one night a month, and I only have a dog. Beats me how people manage to have a really active social life and take care of five kids at the same time. Must have something I don't, I guess.

Lol, I am probably just too old. Can't be bothered.
