Sorry nothing earth shattering, just updating the case. In the article there is some cctv footage released who officers would like to speak 2. Also the 40 year old arrested for murder has been bailed upon further enquiries, the 65 year old woman who was arrested on suspicion of perverting the cause of justice has been released with no further action.

Further arrests made in Natalie Jenkins investigation

Four new arrests have been made in connection with the murder of missing Middlesbrough woman Natalie Jenkins.

A 38-year-old woman, and three men aged 18, 41, and 42, have been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice and conspiracy to prevent a lawful burial, and have been released under investigation.

A 40-year-old man who was arrested in April 2020 on suspicion of murder and conspiracy to prevent a lawful burial and remains on bail pending further investigation.

Natalie disappeared in December 2019 and detectives believe she was in the Albert Park area of Middlesbrough in the early hours of Wednesday 11th December. CCTV was released of Natalie walking towards Albert Park on Park Road South at around 11:38pm on Tuesday 10th December 2019.

Senior Investigating Officer, Mark Dimelow, said: “We are determined to find Natalie and bring those responsible for her murder to justice.

“Our team of detectives have carried out a huge amount of work on Natalie’s case, including looking at hours of CCTV, focusing on extensive searches and speaking to potential witnesses and members of the public.

“We are continuing to appeal to the public and want to bring Natalie home to her family. There is a significant Crimestoppers reward in place for information that leads to the conviction of those responsible for Natalie’s murder.”

Natalie Jenkins Murder Investigation Moves to Reactive Phase

Senior Officers leading the investigation into the disappearance of Natalie Jenkins have made the difficult decision to scale back following 18 months of extensive enquiries.

The investigation will move from a proactive to reactive investigation following thousands of lines of enquiries since her disappearance in December 2019.

Senior Investigation Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Mark Dimelow said: “A dedicated team of officers has worked tirelessly on this complex investigation and making the decision to scale back has been a very tough decision to make.

“Officers have done everything they can at this stage in the investigation and unfortunately there are still people out there who haven’t come forward with answers to push this investigation forward.

“Hopefully one day the people that withhold this information will do the right thing and come forward with the truth for the sake of Natalie’s family.

“We have recently spoken with Natalie’s family and explained the decision behind us scaling back the investigation and they understand that the Force will continue to appeal for information from the public and the investigation will be reviewed each year.

“Independent charity Crimestoppers is still offering a reward of up to £10,000 for information they receive that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the suspected murder of Natalie and they can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org”.
Over the last 18 months, officers have completed the below extensive lines of enquiries:

• 115 reported sightings of Natalie investigated
• 1.3 million people reached from the main Cleveland Police Facebook page alone with appeals and releases
• Almost 7000 investigative actions completed
• Over 130 sequences of CCTV footage reviewed
• Almost 1200 statements taken
• Nearly 1,500 exhibits seized and reviewed

Two males aged 41 and 18 were arrested as part of the investigation however they have now been released without charge.

Cleveland Police would like to thank members of the public for their support throughout this investigation and would urge anyone who knows anything regarding the disappearance of Natalie to please contact Cleveland Police on 101.
