Northumbria Police release mugshot of David Boyd​

Northumbria Police have released a mugshot of David Boyd, who has been found guilty of the murder of schoolgirl Nikki Allan in 1992.

This mugshot smirk on his face sickens me to the core.

And because, despite denying being responsible for Nikki's murder Boyd gave no evidence or explanation in court Sharon insists her fight for answers is far from over.

The 56-year-old said: "People are asking me how I feel, but I don't know how I feel. I'm still numb. I still can't believe it, but it doesn't make any difference, it doesn't help me. I don't believe Boyd is the only one involved.

I'll still carry on fighting. It's definitely not over.

I wonder what makes her convinced that someone else is involved? From the evidence we heard in court there was nothing whatsoever that suggests anyone else was involved.

Yeah, does make you wonder why they would try cover it up? If they knew the truth of course. I mean what would they get out of it by giving Boyd an alibi?
Still baffled why terry Clark wasn’t called as a prosecution witness. Not even a statement was read out on his behalf which I find very odd tbh.

The family also wore t-shirts with 6 names on the back at the trial:
David Boyd - murderer
Terry clark - partner of Dolly
Dolly prest - Aunt on mothers side
John pennock - found the coat and shoes. (Someone of the same name from the area is now a convicted pedophile but I don’t know if this is the same person or a name sake)
Carol Branton - partner of Boyd

Yeah, I don’t know the ins and outs. Could be something to do with alibi’s for some on the list but I don’t know.

I do know there seems to be confusion about who exactly found what in terms of the items but not sure that would warrant the naming.

If there is anything untoward maybe it will come out at some point after the sentencing. If there was any deliberate attempt to pervert the course of justice etc maybe that will be the next focus for the police.

I think they did briefly go down there but it was pitch black so they want to get a torch and that’s when they found her.

It was said in court there was some confusion about who found what and exactly where, but prosecution said the important part of it was that they had been removed from Nikki outside of the building (insinuating the start of a sexual attack maybe?)

Yes I agree, possible attack, hit the poor child, then somehow forced her into the building. He had a knife, possibly using that as the threat.

Did he always carry a knife?

Once he’s hit her he’s realised he’s gone too far, maybe that’s why there was no sexual assault, didn’t want to leave any trace.

The names on the t-shirts must have something to do with false alibis.

Horrific murder of a 7 year old child, if others did know about it and kept it a secret all of this time, they deserve to rot too

I'm glad DB has been found guilty and jailed, but I still have so many questions about this case. DB was friends with Nikki's uncle, TC, and TC was DB's alibi on the night of the murder. If TC corroborated DB's false alibi for the police, I feel like he must have known it was a lie.

There is a lot of info on the open FB profile of Sharon’s other brother Alan. He links all of the names on the t-shirt and roles he suspects they played. Quite grim piecing it together. TC was married to Dolly, but also stood trial for raping another of her sisters years later, (not Sharon).

He covers Pennock and the finding of the coat. Fair to say he doesn’t believe it was a genuine find. Pennock is the same one that was also later convicted of being a peadophile.

Whether there is more to this tragic murder or not, it’s fair to say the murderer and his close associates at the time were a very sick and dangerous group of people.

I just had a look at his posts. ^ He sounds seriously unhinged. The whole prest family sounds unhinged. I am so glad they didn’t f*** up Nikki’s trial because honestly, and I feel bad saying this, but they all sound like utter scum.
