I hope Paul Russell pleading guilty to assisting Cashman reassures the jury that they were correct, and also reassures anyone who doubted Cashman was guilty or capable of being proven guilty.

Great news ! I heard this breaking news whilst I was walking my spaniel.
Let’s hope for a hefty sentence from Justice Yip.
Good to see another 🤬🤬🤬 off the streets.
R.I.P Olivia

Very interesting.

Shouldn't money/wealth gained through crime be confiscated?
I can’t get through to pay wall, is there anything new revealed in this article?

He was described as a cannabis farm gang's "enforcer" happy to use a gun and rolling in money.
Going on foreign holidays with his girlfriend after each "successful job".

Well he won’t be going on holiday ever again now.

The witness, who has lifetime anonymity, is understood to have faced more threats than any other witness Merseyside police have dealt with.

Huge respect for this woman!

And Police, Prosecution, the Jury and the Judge for their hard work with no rest.

Thank you for never giving up to bring Justice for little Olivia and her heartbroken family!

Thank god for that woman having the bravery to come forward. Hopefully the cashman clan will now face the proceeds of crime act.

How does it work? Does the witness for TC get charged with contempt of court for creating false alibi?
Does TC partner get investigated for assisting an offender? She 100% knew what was going on.

Disgusting. Very very brave woman. A lot of people would not want to step forward and face a lifetime of having to be wary of certain people finding out where you are.

The CCTV of the attack on Nee is pretty wild. Really fortunate to walk away from that, looks like the gun malfunctioned or he would be a goner. Plus articles state he had already survived an attempt to take his life just weeks earlier.

And of course if the shooting had happened as planned the child would still be here.

If he hadn't walked away from that and the gun hadn't jammed - we would have had a very different murder trial.

Either that, or no trial at all. All they really had was their witness and if the hit had gone to plan that witness would most likely not have been visited. Surely the shooter had some kind of getaway plan and that can't have been it.

Seems like it would be a spur of the moment decision to go there after the shooting was botched.

Even if they were still visited, I think it's way more doubtful that the witness would have come forward if the victim was not an innocent child.

I agree. This murder crossed a line and witnesses who might not have spoken out had the demographic of the victim been different, took the risk to come forward when a young girl was shot dead in her own home. Whatever went down between Cashman and his former lover, I don’t know if you’d be as likely to risk your personal safety over the death of someone else in… let’s say, a similar line of business as your ex / the killer, versus an innocent child.

Failed hitman.
A cheat.
A coward.
Crying about the verdict.
Vicious lowlife, hope he rots.
