Found Safe UK - Owen Danter, 43, from Brough, Yorks, last seen in Doncaster, 15 Dec 2021

Quote RSBM.

We know from his own twitter he says he has ADHD.

IMO Something else is going on.

he has mentioned having a mental breakdown

I hope he is located safe and able to receive help. The future could be different with the right diagnoses and therapy?

Also I hope the alleged crime victims got their money back somehow.

In the Daily Mail, it said ‘All money stolen from customers has been reimbursed by the bank and Santander has recovered £30,000 from Danter’s pension fund.’

I also look forward to him being found safe and sound. Hopefully tomorrow will bring good news.

But after the 2012 crime, come 2018 trouble again. I wonder if these got reimbursed?

In the quoted article, it says that the court would make a decision in the November on compensation and asset seizure. I am not sure how much they would have got though as ‘Danter was the sole director of OTD Development Ltd before he voluntarily liquidated the company on 20 April 2017.’ They did say he had new contracts which they might be able to recover money from.
I don’t think there is a huge amount of protection for people in this scenario, the people affected via the banks would have had protection via the FSCS.
