What happened: Paige Chivers went missing from her home in Bispham after an argument with her dad about missing cash in August 2007. The vulnerable teenager, who had struggled at home since her mum's death and her dad's difficulties with alcoholism, was preyed on by Robert Ewing, a sex offender with a conviction for abusing a 13-year-old girl.

When Paige threatened to expose the predator, he murdered her and disposed of her body. Paige's blood was found in the hallway of Ewing's flat and an extensive proof of life inquiry found no evidence she was still alive. However, her body has never been found.

Status: Robert Ewing was jailed for life in July 2015. He died behind bars in November 2022 but never revealed where Paige's body had been hidden.''
