Kent Police is appealing for the public’s help in trying to locate a missing man from #Sandwich.

Paul Goodwin, 61 was last seen at Sandwich Marina on the afternoon of Friday 18 March 2022 and officers are concerned for his welfare.

He is described as a white male, 5ft 10inches tall with grey hair and is wearing glasses. He is thought to be wearing a blue jacket under a black leather jacket, black water proof trousers and black boots.

Police are trying to trace a man, 61, who has been missing from Sandwich since before the weekend. Paul Goodwin, 61, was last seen at the town's marina on Friday (March 18).

The last official sighting was that afternoon, but officers are now turning to the public for help. Kent Police has said it is concerned for his welfare.

Officers working to locate a missing man from #Sandwich have released a dashcam image.

Paul Goodwin, 61, (pictured, inset) was reported missing on Sunday 20 March 2022 and officers are concerned for his welfare.

A dashcam image (main image) which it is thought could show Mr Goodwin was taken at the Lord of the Manor Roundabout on the A299 near #Ramsgate at around 6.45pm on Saturday 19 March.

Detective Inspector Louise Murphy, of East Kent Vulnerability Investigation Team, said: 'We are very keen to hear from anyone who may be able to help us locate Paul.

'I hope this image may either jog someone's memory of when they saw him on the weekend he went missing, or alternatively, may lead to someone helping us rule out that this image is Paul.'

Mr Goodwin is described as a white man, 5ft 10inches tall, with grey hair and glasses. He is believed to have been wearing a blue jacket under a black leather jacket, black waterproof trousers and black boots when he was last seen.

From that dashcam photo, attached below, you can see he's not walking on a footpath, but is actually walking in the road, right along where the crash barriers are.
Not a safe place to walk, and not an area intended for pedestrians.
It sounds like he's gone wandering and perhaps needs to clear his head....?
Worried about his mental state.

A few people on Facebook have commented that they don't think the man shown walking in the latest photo is Paul. The photo is a bit blurry, but in my opinion it could be him, especially when you see both photos of him together (see composite photo provided by @MsMiniSleuth above). As is so often my complaint, it is a shame they have provided only a still photograph when moving footage is available.

RIP Paul
Officers searching for a 61-year-old man who was reported missing from #Sandwich on Sunday 20 March 2022 have found a body.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
