It's a long time since I worked there, but back in the day the cash machines were all at the Westminster Bridge end. If she was leaving from the Evelina end and aiming to get the C10, she'd probably have left via Lambeth Palace Road.

It was just my observation.

But a lonely woman getting cash at night (it was already dark) is an easy prey.

The 2 York Road cash point area looks a little rougher for a lone woman to walk in my opinion. There are areas where someone could watch less noticed if they were planning on robbing her and followed her onto the bus. I think the hospital atm or the one in Westminster Bridge Road would be more on route though.

Most ATMs are connected to lit places such as off licences and banks on high streets. They have CCTV too. So I don't think it makes "easy prey" unless for a mugging.

I quite often withdraw cash as convenience stores near me accept cash or have minimum card spends.

The fact that a person of interest has been arrested and is still in custody speaks volumes to me. I really hope there's a misunderstanding and Petra is fine.

No worries, I think we can all agree then that it was probably the Westminster Bridge end one (or the hospital cash machine).
What is not clear at the moment is why someone was arrested but if they are charged it will give a better picture in that did the drawing of money from a cash machine came into play with all of this or was just coincidental.

I read that as being that the poster had heard from a different person who had had a creepy experience in the same area at around the same time.

Does the Tweet have to do with Petra herself or with another nurse at the same hospital that happens to be friends with the lady that posted this on Twitter? To me it personally sounds like the latter to be fair... almost as if to say that there was someone acting strangely nearby around the same time. Again JMO.

It is a fairly quiet area at night and can feel unsettling to be there alone. Particularly the route to Waterloo.

Does it mean they want the nurse who was followed to identify the man already arrested?
Or maybe get the details of another suspicious man loitering in the vicinity of hospital at night?
It might mean they dont know what happened to Petra.

I think the police would respond to a tweet like that anyway, whether they know what happened to her or not.

It makes me sick but this is standard experience for any female Londoner under 50 today. I’ve had several of those calls myself from women I know who feel in danger, it is horrid.
