Hi. Thank you all for your interest and help in trying to fathom things out.
Portia is still missing, the longer she is missing the less time and interest is invested by the police and media. As mum I have done, and will continue to do, all I can to try and find where Portia is. I have a lot of support from family and friends, it's like trying to find a needle in a haystack and i just don't understand it. Yes Portia does currently have some MH issues, which shouldn't make her less important and a lot of people are extremely concerned and scared for her welfare. Any help anyone can offer is greatly appreciated.

Hello and thank you for posting. I'm so sorry you are going through this. I agree that MH issues should not make Portia less important. It's a shame the police are not helping more, that is really disappointing. I hope she is found safe and well soon.

Being an adult with known known mental health issues means that the police would normally treat her as a higher priority than they normally would an adult with similar characteristics.

They have kept Portia as medium risk category. High risk is generally kept for people who would potentially harm themselves or others, and for minors.

Yet all reporting stopped. Usually tabloids as Dailymail or Mirror are really onto these stories, why does she seem forgotten ? This is frustrating, as people will either forget or think she was found, which is worrying as tips from the public will just stop.

I hope they do. Have you contacted the reporters who covered the story originally? Contacting them directly might be good, with the hook that Portia has been missing for quite a while now and so on and her friends and family are desperately trying to find her. It's a great idea to have posters and raise awareness.

So so sorry that you are going through this. Consensus on this forum seems to be general surprise that there isn't more of a profile to Portia's situation, given the initial media interest. I wish you luck with the awareness raising this weekend.

Hopefully you can put pressure on the police to give out more information.

Internal training on missing persons. All people reported missing to the police in the UK are evaluated for vulnerability and the circumstances of their going missing and the initial response is generally determined by that assessment.

Have you considered having some postcards of Portia printed, and distributing these in shops, cafe tables, pubs (with permission obvs) in areas that she frequents? "Have you seen Portia - if so call....?"

She is very pretty and hence must get noticed a lot; you might hear from someone who has noticed more recently than previously known. Worth a try?

We have printed 400 A5 posters and 100 A4. Some have already been distributed by ourselves and Missing People Charity. We will be taking loads with us tomorrow. Portia is beautiful, thank you, however the cctv image of her on 14th march showed her looking very troubled and unwell in my opinion. . We will be wearing these. (See pics) Heard nothing back from papers, the police are very hard to contact and don't have any new information. I am going to really focus on getting some more media coverage
