Have you seen Preston, 26, missing from Shirehampton, Bristol?

He was last seen at 9.30pm on Friday 17 March when he left home in his blue Renault Clio, WU18 KBY.

Preston then messaged at 12.30am Saturday 18 March saying he'd broken down and didn't know where he was and has not been in contact with family or friends since.

We're concerned for his welfare.

Preston is white, 6ft tall and muscular with short brown hair. He was wearing a tracksuit.

He's known to visit Clifton Downs, Almondsbury, Cribbs Causeway and Easter Compton areas.

If you know where Preston is, please call 999 quoting reference 5223063728, or call 101 if you've seen the car or have any other information.

This is really just reiterating what the first post said!

Sadly, officers searching for missing Preston, 26, found a body in a wooded area off Hollywood Lane, near junction 17 of the M5, on Sunday afternoon, 19 March.

While formal identification has yet to take place, his next of kin have been notified and our thoughts are with them.

Officers are not treating the death as suspicious and continue with enquiries on behalf of the coroner.

What, then?.....his car broke down and he committed suicide in woods?

That makes no sense.

Was he struggling with mental health or other worries?

No-one said suicide. 'Not suspicious', as the police are treating it, also, unfortunately, (ETA: can) mean misadventure, like getting fatally injured. Not just 'suicide'.

Given the wording, where discovered, the implication is he took his own life. 'Not suspicious' means no third party involvement and is a standard term in these cases.

In the UK 'no suspicious circumstances' is police talk for 'taking your own life'.

I'm in the UK too!

It isn't always, it can be misadventure, and I just wanted to clarify.
