UK - Prince Andrew accused of underage sexual relationship, 1999-2002 *settled* #2

I certainly dont think he should settle because of any stories from the Sun.

It’s not just the Sun though. There are stories surfacing everywhere about his misconduct with first hand testimonies from women. I hope he doesn’t settle so that we get to the truth. Otherwise, he will always appear guilty to many. And since he’s a part of the monarchy, it’s appalling really.

It is interesting, people really should "own" what they have done. PA could have said, "She told me she was 18, how was I supposed to know she was a sex slave? I thought she was friends with JE and GM. We were partying, she came on to me.". And there it is. He is still a slimebag, but completely plausible, and believable.

My personal opinion is that people hated the fact that PA has doubled down on the falsehood that he was not with VRG. He obviously was...

It’s his obvious lying that bothers me, that he thought everyone was so gullible and that he could get away with something of such magnitude, that he thought he could pull the wool over the world’s eyes.

Most civil cases are resolved with a settlement and no admittance of guilt, often due to costs.

Appearing guilty and being guilty are two different things entirely.

PA is now a private citizen, therefore not appearing before the courts as a Royal. Of course, he is still a son of the Monarch.

We do know he has lied about this but perhaps under oath he will be more forthcoming.

they are generally from the Sun and Mail and then repeated. Two papers with pretty damn low and questionable morals.

Yep, no matter the outcome, PA will still have a pretty leisurely life.

He knew PC as King, was going to ‘retire’ him from duty, it just happened sooner than expected.

Not much will change for him when this is over, he’ll just be short some money from his trust funds.

oh yes, his grannie left him money, as did his father and his mother will see he’s comfortable for life.

He just won’t be in the public eye much but that’s a good thing.

Isn’t that why they’re called ‘rags’ and ‘yellow journalism’?

I thought this was a good summary of the tabloids and Britains relationship with them. I suppose it’s like if TMZ was in print!

Here’s Why British Tabloids Are More Extreme Than American Tabloids

Here is a quote from this article you posted from the Readers Digest, a reputable magazine as far as I know — and strikes me as both funny and ironic.

The old guard
Some say these “rags” may be getting a rap. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Patrick Jephson, who served as chief of staff to Princess Diana for eight years and penned the book The Meghan Factor, offers a different view of the tabloids. “The idea that the British tabloids are a bunch of ravening psychos is wrong. Back in the olden days, when the tabloids really were a wolf pack, inside the palace it was fashionable to say, ‘There are lies, damned lies, and tabloid exclusives.’ The default position was to dismiss the tabloids as lies, whereas the reality, as I learned, is that most of the time, most of the tabloids wrote truthful stuff.”

Wasn't it a tabloid which first published THIS photo?
Would we ever see it if not Mail?

They relentlessly uncover the secrets swept under "bulging rugs".

They do? Lol. I am not sure they relentlessly uncover anything to be honest. They just treat him like they do other Royals they dont like.

My gut feeling on all this is that Andrew is a sleazy, pompous, rude and entitled man who should have just said “yes I slept with her, no of course I didn’t know she was trafficked, I deeply regret the situation and will be in touch with Virginia’s representatives directly”…. and just owned it.
BBM & RSBM.

But this isn't normal. It's a 17 year old girl travelling thousands of miles from Florida to London, New York and USVI to have sex with a middle aged man, accompanied by her middle aged friends/employers. Why would anyone believe PA didn't know VRG was being sex trafficked?

Any normal person would think 'this isn't right', the warning signs were there.

Here's an article by The Sun UK (gossip mag) with a photo of PA with GM, Kevin Spacey, and Bill Clinton touring Buckingham Palace. This is the tour where GM and Kevin Spacey were photographed sitting on thrones. This was about 18 months after the photo of PA, GM, and VG was taken in GM's London home.

Ghislaine Maxwell introduced as Andrew’s ex-lover on palace tour

Clinton, GM, and Spacey had just returned to London from a tour of Africa. Gawd only knows what went on there.

But I really don't understand why Kevin Spacey is in this mix. I can clearly see the GM- Clinton- Epstein relationship as Clinton had multiple visits with Epstein and flew on his plane several times. Certainly have my suspicions about what he was doing.

But Spacey? He has been bounced out of Hollywood for his association with underaged boys. Not really GM or JE's thing. I just find the combination very strange.

He served as chief of staff for Princess Diana though. I trust he would know of all people. I believe him. Just as I believe all of the women who have shared their personal experiences related to Andrew. No matter where they've shared their stories. When you diminish each woman's story because of where they shared it, it's like saying Andrew is guilty because look who he was hanging around with. The logic is the same imo.

He worked for her yes and then wrote two books on her and was called a traitor. He then wrote a book on Meghan and has done articles for the Mail - the paper who has crucified Dianas son and wife so I think he didnt care about her that much tbh and...working for the tabloids himself one might say he was biased tbh. Actually...many have claimed he was guilty because who he hung around with but the thing is...why would anyone believe anyone random who sells her story to the red tops? personally i believe facts and am not prepared to believe something just because its negative about Andrew.

Depends if he thought she was the masseuse or something. To be honest her father knew according to an article she was going to the London and considering she was minor...why did he not stop it? actually dont you need a parent to sign a passport app if you are a minor there?

What facts are you referring to about Andrew that you believe?
