In one of the articles posted here it says that PA continued communication with JP five years after he said that he did.
Not sure when Prince Andrew stated that he stopped contact with Epstein, but he did continue contact until at least 2010. Sarah Ferguson continued contact until at least 2011.
Epstein was charged in 2006, convicted in 2008. Prince Andrew was photographed with Epstein in 2010. In 2011, Ferguson made a public statement calling her friendship with Epstein a "gigantic error in judgment". Three weeks later, she emailed Epstein to apologise and confirm their friendship.
It's not believable that Epstein would sue Sarah Ferguson after his conviction for soliciting prostitution with a minor. It's more likely that she hoped for more money from Epstein, and wanted to keep the communication open.
"In the
emails from 2011 Ferguson, the ex-wife of Prince Andrew, wrote to Epstein: “
I know you feel hellaciously let down by me from what you were either told, or read, and I must humbly apologise to you and your heart for that.”
Ferguson, 65, had
weeks earlier given an interview in which she said her association with Epstein — who had been jailed for three years for soliciting prostitution with a minor — had been a
“gigantic error of judgment”.
“I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children,” she added.
In the subsequent email to Epstein she said: “I was instructed to act with the utmost speed if I would have any chance of holding on to my career as a children’s book author and a children’s philanthropist.
“As you know, I did not, absolutely not, say the ‘P word’ [paedophile] about you but understand it was reported that I did.” A spokesman for the Duchess said at the weekend the
emails were sent to prevent Epstein suing her for defamation."
Organisations including the Teenage Cancer Trust — which she represented for 35 years — have severed ties with the Duchess of York

The idea he would "condone or participate in" exploitation is abhorrent, Buckingham Palace says.
