One of Britain's most famous dogs has died after a tragic accident involving a revolving door.

Alan, a dachshund puppy - the in-house dog at upmarket Tatler magazine, was killed after getting stuck in the entrance to the publication's offices at London's Vogue House.

It is understood the dog was being walked on his lead by a member of staff when he suddenly rushed towards the door - getting trapped along with a male worker.

Saw this headlined in Daily Mail but didn't click on it because - although I never knew Alan (and had never heard of him for that matter) - I respond poorly to tales of dogs meeting grim ends in revolving doors. Requiescat in pace, pal. Dog heaven's even more upmarket than Tatler, I hear.
