Strange time of night to be out in running gear. I hope she's found soon.
some people like the calmness on night i guess but i agree its strange and being a woman alone is surprising

Hope shes fou
Why would she buy milk and wine? Is the garage near where she lives?
45 mins away and she ran their but by the sounds of it she often went there to pick up parcels and general stuff and staff liked her

That wasn’t the garage, that was her local shop

Has going for a run been confirmed or is that an assumption from the way she's dressed? To me it's quite possible that's what she happened to be wearing, it's not an unusual choice of clothes given the hot weather weve been having and it's no longer light at that time so seems less likely that she was intending to run than she had popped out for a couple of things she'd run out of

The person who served Rachel at the garage said she'd been running 45 minutes, the Daily Mail also reported that 45 minutes run is how far it is to her home. Buying the milk and wine does seem odd unless she intended to walk home, or maybe someone had promised her a lift home?

How would an employee at the garage know the length of time she'd been running? Unless the night worker was talkative and got that info. It's possible.

The purchase seems really off though. Especially if she's 'on a run'.

Now, if she had "intentions" in mind nearby (seemingly where the search has been ongoing), wine alone would be logical. But why the milk? To throw off any scent?

Oh this lady needs milk for her brew the next day and wine will be her evening tipple.

Similar to the "what was in the bag" of the twin Hungarian sisters some time back.

I don't feel certain she was going for a run at 3-4AM in an all-black outfit MOO.

Yes I think given the quick response and concern about her going missing I'd guess her mental health might not be great. No idea why she'd buy milk, but people do do these random things as we've seen in other cases.

The two things I might buy if going to accommodation with water and electricity and that I knew had basics such as instant coffee ,would be wine and milk. Wine for when I arrived and milk for a cup of coffee.
I think there might have been times on my way home from work when those are the two items I bought!!

Oh yeah not saying they are unusual things to buy together generally. But they seem it in the situation Tonnnnuk was talking about - if she'd gone to the area they are searching with certain 'intentions'. But sometimes these things don't make sense.

I haven't seen any mention of a partner or husband? There are three sons.

I don't know how recent the photos used are, but in the main one I thought she looked quite strained and worn out, as opposed to the other full length where she looks much more vibrant. I would not be surprised if it comes to light she had been suffering with depression and mental health issues.

This is from the daily mail article posted previously.

One man who 'grew up around the corner' from her posted: 'She is honestly one of the nicest people you could meet.'

Another described her as a mother-of-three with 'three gorgeous boys and a 'loving husband'.

I have a mutual friend with Rachel so this case hits me hard - only about a 15 minute drive from where I live now.

I feel awful for saying this but I only see this ending in one way.

Can someone point me to the source of her going out to run at 3am? As many have pointed out, running at 3am is odd. It strikes me that by today's standards the "athleisure" look is acceptable in any context, so I wonder how we know she was running rather than just chose those clothes to do whatever was her main objective, which I would say was not to buy milk.

ETA: Just saw @suzyjackson made the same point, so just want to give credit and say I concur. Apologies for effectively duplicating the comment.

I agree. I do think police have information which has not been shared with the public which leads them to believe she is in the water.
I was just hoping her purchases might indicate a different scenario, but I think that is more wishful thinking than reality.

This is Rachel’s Fb if it’s not been posted already

Her name is Rachel Langley, where Booth comes from, I think it’s a previous married name which one of her sons is called and 192 still shows Rachel Booth living with Carl Langley. Fb link to share doesn’t appear to work for me unfortunately.

Isaac Carolan, 19, who works at the Sandiway Garage, revealed Rachel's final purchase before she vanished.
Police have launched an urgent hunt for missing woman Rachel Booth who was last seen at a petrol station

CCTV shows Rachel Booth, 38, walking around Sandiway Garage, west of Northwich in Cheshire, at 3.50am on Saturday July 19

'I spoke to my colleague who had served her on Saturday morning. She bought milk and wine and jogged from 45 minutes away.'

Four immediate scenarios come to mind:
1. She flagged another driver to get a lift back to Northwich, and this was was someone who, spotting a distressed woman, abducted her.
2. She was victim of hit and run making her way back and knocked into undergrowth.
3. She tried to take a shortcut and had an accident.
4. Being distressed she went off to end things.

I can't think of anything else, but after 48hrs and no other sightings, things aren't looking good.

She may have bought the milk to make the wine purchase seem less desperate?

It’s very telling that the Waterpark closed “so that police investigations can continue in the area.” I think the police may already have a good idea of what has happened to Rachel.
