ITV Becky Trial ‏@ITVBeckyTrial · 30 secs31 seconds ago
Shauna Hoare is finished giving her evidence. Court is on a half an hour break. #beckywatts

That seems quick for a break?

Yes, it's more like a reaction to an affair. SH and NM won't show sympathy for Becky, I think it's because of the years of resentment they shared between them about Becky getting 'special' treatment.

Or SH is angry that NM lied about being sexually attracted to Becky???

I think it's because SH has now finished in the witness box ( sadly ) so I guess it's an easy time to have a break before they call the next witness. If indeed there are any more.....
Still hoping JI and DD will give evidence and that KD will be called as a witness also.

They clearly kept forgetting that Becky was a child and they were grown adults!

SH is a mother of one, and NM is a grown man. Becky was a child when his mother got involved in the family and even at the time of her death, was still in education, not fully grown up. Of course she would get "special treatment", that's how minors are supposed to be treated.

This pair make me sick - getting free housing, benefits, scamming the system for more than they deserved, working on the side and so on ..... and have the nerve to complain that a 16 year old was getting something more than they got! What did they ever put in? What did they ever do for anyone else?

Erm, apparently they washed up the dishes occasionally at Anjie's.

It's something I used to see on facebook a lot (till I learned how to hide people's posts lol), that the people complaining most about refugees getting help with housing and foods, were the ones who had never contributed anything theirselves. Like they felt refugees were trying to get something that only they should be entitled to. On facebook it was benefits, in SH and NM's case it seems to be attention and money from the family.

I laughed. :p

BTW, SH said yesterday NM did manage to wash dishes that day! Apparently, NM carried on like 'normal'. :aktion1:

That's the bit I didn't get. SH said she was going there to socialise whilst NM did some chores. What chores?

[h=3]'I feared Nathan's explosive temper'[/h]The trial has just resumed with Shauna Hoare, 21, back in the witness box for a third day..
She is now being re-examined on evidence by her barrister Andrew Langdon QC.
He said: “Morning Shauna.”
Hoare smiled saying: “Morning.”
Mr Langdon asked Hoare if she was in a happy relationship with lover Nathan Matthews around the time when Becky was killed.

Hoare replied: “No it wasn’t happy. It was better than it was before but he was still quite angry and controlling and it wasn’t good.”
“He would call me fat a lot of the time and make mean jokes about my weight.”
Mr Langdon asked: “Had your fear about Matthews’ explosive temper gone by February?”
Hoare replied: “No.”

[h=3]'Nathan found 16-year-old girl attractive'[/h]The jury heard Hoare once told Matthews how her foster brother used to run away a lot and his foster mum spoke about kidnapping him - to teach him a lesson.
Hoare said she told Matthews years ago before the couple set up home together.
She was asked about a 16-year-old girl who worked with Matthews at a takeaway.
Hoare said: “I thought he found her attractive.”

[h=3]Hoare 'angry at Nathan for chucking everything away'[/h]Hoare was asked why she felt “angry” over what Matthews had done.
She said: “It was just the fact he had lied the whole entire time. It was what he actually did and the pain he has caused his mum and everyone else.
“And not understanding the reasons why he has done it - chucking everything away.”
The jury are on a 30-minute break.

And why wasn't SH doing the chores, as she was the registered carer?

He obviously thinks she didn't do a good enough job yesterday of explaining that she was still scared of NM

Do we KNOW that he was sexually attracted to Becky? Not assuming that he was attracted to ALL and EVERY teenager ... he may have been attracted to teenagers BUT he may also have viewed Becky even begrudgingly as his 'sister' or family?

Chucking away the relationship with SH? The relationship that wasn't very good, that she was too scared to get out of, but that she desperately wanted to end?

but how does that help her case?

Is this the girl she contacted on Facebook?

And jesus , what a foster mother. I assume she was joking and SH assumed she was serious

but how does that help her case?

It's been her defence all along , the old I didnt see anything but if I had I'd have been too scared to say. Going for the sympathy vote from the mainly female jury

Yep, good way to get his hands clean and look like he was being normal at the same time

It was accidental washing up. He was just trying to wash blood off his hands and some crockery got in the way.
