I read that as JI looking for holidays to disneyland for his girlfriend's 21st

ETA, found it. I read it as KD was looking for disneyland hols, whereas JI was looking for hols in march, to take his girlfriend away. But the "he" in the tweet could mean either JI or KD

I believes he made 4 points

1. KD borrowed his phone to seach disney land for him and JP

2. JI searched holidays for his girlfriends 21st (think before the incident but will check)

3. Similarly JI searched the shopping outfit to take his girlfriend

4. Other people made searches on his phone whilst at work - he would take the password off his phone

Yes, I remember us discussing this way back .... it would seem odd to ask JI to drive him over to Southmead ( and all the rest ! ) if KD could drive. He could surely have taken a work van just as easily as JI did.

Yup, thats how I read it, but how it's tweeted just using "he" makes the march holidays and designer outlet part ambiguous

Appears he was the link to the van, he was the one who had access to it and so they used him to give them the lift knowing he regularly gave friends lift to & from town for cash. KD would know he would agree to it seeing as he was offered a cut of the money.

JI's story makes sense to me.

Yes, I believe him. Sounds like they took advantage of him and he has ended up in this mess.

If he genuinely thought he was simply giving a couple of people a lift in return for petrol money, then being accused and found guilty of assisting an offender would seem a bit harsh to me - if he really didn't know he was assisting an offender at that point. I guess keeping quiet about it afterwards causes the problem.

If he is deemed innocent of doing more than that, he won't even have a job to go back to after letting everyone know how they all skive there and pop out to Nandos!

Perhaps he had never been diagnosed officially - I know a lot of cases where GPS prescribed Ritalin for kids who were naughty or boisterous under the guise of them having ADHD without undertaking proper examinations.

Or perhaps it was deemed that it was helping him - idk

So glad he took the stand, I'd pondered whether he'd pleaded innocent because in his eyes he was helping KD out rather than directly assisting the offender (NM)
and this is shaping up to be the case, I'm satisifed at this point that he agreed to help KD out by giving KD's mates a lift and was expecting a tenner for petrol at most. It'll be interesting to see at what point the big money is mentioned to JI, if at all.

Yes, the same with mine. Paediatrician has to prescribe and I take the prescription to his doctor to actually get the meds. Doctor is like the middle man - he can't prescribe or alter the prescription. I can only get one packet at a time, the doctor isn't allowed to prescribe more than that.

Issue is how much money was he offered? If it really was £5k as the prosecution alleges that's not quite the same as just petrol money

Yes, that's the awful system we live under. We moved in the Summer and I am still waiting for my son to be given a new Paed. Not heard a thing from anyone, neither has the school. Whole care package just ended like that - even though he was given a new drug to take on a trial basis, with nobody assigned to oversee it. Needless to say, I didn't dare give him it.

It's shocking - I've worked with people in a similar situation to yourself and seems "everyone's hands are tied" meanwhile the individual concerned discuss left hanging high and dry

Ha! I'm still in my PJ'S too, but it is only 8:22 in the morning here in Vermont! LOL Unfortunately I have to get dressed and leave for the day, so I'll be playing catch-up tonight.

I have never heard the word "skive" before. Can someone tell me what that means?

Sincere question: JI says he's from a family of 9. SH is from a family with 8 kids. Is it common for British families to have such big families? I don't know anyone with that many kids, even in stepfamilies. Just curious, as I can't imagine raising any more than the 3 we did (energy, expense, the whole kit and kaboodle would be overwhelming! LOL).
