Police Update, more searches planned tomorrow with dogs and helicopter.

We are running six specialist search teams each day which are being complimented by officers from Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire Police forces.

Tomorrow (02/03), we will again be assisted by the specialist dog unit from South Wales Police and the police helicopter.

Update regarding search for missing Rebecca Watts

More police resources are being utilised as the search for missing 16 year old Rebecca Watts intensifies.

A number of locations have now been searched within a 2km radius of Becky’s home address in the St George area of Bristol.

We can confirm that, at this stage, no significant items have been identified during these searches.

A laptop computer which was found a in a local wooded area yesterday, is not related to this missing person investigation.

We are running six specialist search teams each day which are being complimented by officers from Wiltshire, Devon and Cornwall and Gloucestershire Police forces.............

One thing that stands out to me from facebook pages is that various family members have posted messages of thanks, support etc in last 24 hours and linked other family member names to the messages, but I can't see any that have linked rw's brother in any of them!

But other people one might expect to see are missing too.

There is a reason they are only searching in a 2km radius IMO, but what? Besides phone pings, did someone they suspect only have a short window of opportunity? Thinking out loud...

Presumably they mean "complemented" rather than that their colleagues are telling them what a good job they're doing.

Definitely. I remember following the Chris Brahney case (young guy who died after Stone Roses concert) and so many people had tips and "visions" of where should be searched. They seemed to like the attention they were getting on facebook, and none of their tips proved to be correct.

Totally agree....there was someone on my twitter feed, a few days ago, saying where do I go to if I have solved the case .....

So could the 2 arrested be the ones who were in the house, and heard the door slam when Becky supposedly left?

Police reported that "family members were in the house" when she disappeaared, so we know that more than one person was there, although they didn't specify their age, gender or even which side of the family they are on.

Were they arrested because their stories didn't add up?
