I just wonder because of all the different places they are searching and the fact that tents have been erected in more than one place.

The police use those pop-up tents to protect potential evidence from the weather. They also use them as temporary working spaces. A police tent doesn't automatically mean they've found a body, or body parts! It could be something like tyre marks or footprints.

I hope I'm wrong too because I would never want a repeat of that. Those of us in Southern Ontario who were physically close to St. Catharines etc., will never get over it as it was soooo unbelievably grotesque.

I pray I'm wrong. I don't want to be right on this one.

My sister-in-law lived in St. Catherine's and her bf was brought in for questioning (as were SO many other young men) when PB was doing his thing prior to him and KH doing what they did together. It hits close to home for SO many of us :(

Sorry for my ignorance but would you mind explaining what happened in St Catherine? Many thanks

If someone can quickly remember please....the morning that Becky disappeared I recall that her Stepmother had a doctor's appointment. I also understand that she suffers from MS. I saw pictures of her walking with a walker. How did Becky's stepmother get to and from her appointment? Do we know what time the stepmother came home from her appointment?

Maybe someone else can find something but the only thing I've seen in the msm is that she left at approx. 10:30 for her appointment. Not how she got there or what time she returned home.

Sorry, the reference was to a Paul Bernardo and Karla Homolka type situation. If you google those names you'll understand.

It's a nightmare to imagine such things happen, but they do. Far more often than most realize.

I remember reading about this a couple of years back.

I wish I could unremember :notgood:

I've followed this story and don't feel it has ever been told how the stepmum travelled to and from her hospital apptmt or what time the lady returned.

While hashtags certainly can be helpful, they can (and are) be abused by people who are just trolls looking for attention and/or using them as link-bait and using people's sympathy to click their links. Quite often, the links themselves are to highly inappropriate material that has nothing to do with the case. I would strongly caution anyone using twitter, to NOT click those links unless the hashtag and link is posted by an obvious member of the media and/or law enforcement. I've had twitter for 7 years and this has been going on ever since the beginning.

I think MissyLDT was referring to one particular poster and not the people who are jumping on the #FindBecky tag to drive clicks and views. These are tweets from someone who claims to be a local.

A lot of spammers will use a trending hashtag without any idea of the meaning behind it. It's pretty easy to spot them.

Anarchy/Human Traffick(ing) in the UK........ Sex Pistols would have ranted about this issue
Also, "flowers in the dustbin" line from 'GStQ' sterling victims imagery.

BTW the picture posted by the 'local' on Twitter is directly lifted from Google Streetview and is outside the wrong house.

Think everyone can treat what is being posted from that account with a very big pinch of salt.

I think someone was thinking along these lines early when they spoke about cars not always being used by the registered keeper.

A Zafira isn't a car I'm overly familiar with. From my research however, I've noticed its a common choice for a Motability scheme car? I know, generally cars are new on this scheme but I think you can also purchase used cars. I remember reports of someone living in the house in Wilton close being in a mobility scooter. Is it possible they have maybe purchased this car on this scheme on behalf of a son/daughter/grandchild? Not a legit way of doing this but has been known to happen? This could explain why they are keen to trace other owners as they may need further evidence that a suspect was using this car if it isn't in their name? Maybe hoping that someone will call in with a tip? Also, I know it was said not to be local but that could just mean that they weren't a resident?

Suspect uses car for something untoward then dumps it back at friendly relative who kindly took it out in their name so as to distance themself?

Sorry if this is a rambling. My brain seems to go at 100mph when it should be sleeping!!

Thanks for doing the research Wallace. I didn't think it was the same house. The fact he was taking photos of females entering houses from a seemingly previous situation was making me very uneasy anyway so I'm glad it's from Google street view.

References to the registration number not being local are purely to do with the prefix HY which is a prefix allocated to cars originally registered in Portsmouth.

There are many less than legitimate reason for someone to register a car using the wrong name and address. Makes it very hard to enforce speeding or parking tickets for one. Avoiding being tracked by ANPR cameras is another.

Also worth remembering that the record held at the DVLA is the current keeper not the owner. The owner can be someone completely different like a company or a finance house.

The Zafira is a people carrier, popular with families and taxi drivers. The mobility angle is extremely tangential.

Guys- I take back my last post- family posting hopeful messages she is found safe within past 20 minutes! Hope- there's hope!

How can this be, did I miss something? LE has stating the two people they are holding are being held for suspicion of *murder*. LE doesn't make that type of statement without very good cause. Is this denial or wishful thinking on the part of the family? I seriously must have missed something. Please explain.

I wonder if her devices were found or if they are still looking for those as well
