Just paraphrasing here from the fb, NM stretches and yawns.

To me, to do that at this point during these horrific descriptions, not only shows indifference but deliberate defiance. He might as well say 'you're boring me. Who gives a ****' :furious:

Sounds like the reaction of a psycopath, IMO.

Yesterday when we saw the pictures of Becky's bedroom, some of the pink drawers were broken. Wonder if they were broken during the struggle?

I wonder if NM and SH will take the stand?

I think so too. Becky was only 5'1" inches and NM seems only a few inches taller, the struggle for him to overpower her would have been difficult in such a confined space.

She's sat looking very prim and proper during most of that

After the evidence of the contents of the garage/storage shed, I've changed my mind about JI and DD having no idea what was in those bags and cases.

Not when they agreed to move them, but I would be very surprised if they didn't look inside those cases to see what was there.
The DS reported that the cases were a bit open even !

Yet they never reported it to the police, give me strength. !

If they were then it is surprising that no one - the police for instance when they called round the following day - seemed to notice this. Or perhaps they did and that was what made them keep a close check on NM and SH from the beginning.

In fairness they were well wrapped - police didn't even know what was in them initially

Becky suffered a vicious and prolonged attack where she fought back for her life

Doesn't sound like something which could be done in the time it takes to smoke a 🤬🤬🤬

I'm thinking about their next door neighbours, maybe witnesses for the time of day or night they heard the circular saw.
Also, if they're witnesses to seeing SH outside while they heard the sound.

I hope this case is so airtight, the judge gives them the harshest sentence possible.

I asked this earlier upthread. I really hope so, but I suppose it's whatever their barrister recommends? No idea how their minds work if they feel the need to defend themselves, would it be worse taking the stand? SH certainly did OK with the police questioning before she was charged, little miss innocent !

Will add, I just couldn't try and attempt to defend this pair for any money.

Unfortunately counsel have no option - they get what they are given...I'm so glad I didn't go down the barrister route in the end...I'd find it difficult I'm cases like this

Beckys dad, Darren has somehow been able to sit throughout this session. Other family members have left the court in tears.

Kudos to that man - the strength it must have taken

Just appalling and sickening. I am in no doubt that SH was completely involved in the murder - I really really hope it can be proven to allow the possibility of a long long sentence for her.

One thing that I am confused about - the evidence of the police who went round to Barton Court and found the body parts.

I thought that NM had told the police where Becky's body was ? but the police evidence says that when they went to Barton Court, they discovered the suitcases and bags and did not know what was in them ?

NM stated that he had some physical issues which contributed to why he quit his delivery job. He mentions probs with his shoulder (not sure if he's implying that's from driving a clutch), as well as issues with his back.

And Becky fought back valiantly for her life.

Perhaps, Shauna did actually physically participate in Becky's attempted kidnapping & murder, esp since NM may not have been able to take her down alone as easily as he had thought:

Matthews said he had been to a pain clinic because his shoulder hurt - experts said it was down to a chemical imbalance.

He said: “All my jobs have been deliveries apart from Sainsbury’s when I killed my back

Indeed, he may have needed Shauna's help during the struggle and murder, as well as the decapitation.
