Does anyone know how old was Becky when she knew NM? I mean for how many years are Darren and Anjie together? Retribution can you say? Thank you :)

Well, there are multiple defendants so it's going to take up a fair amount of time. Plus court days are relatively short, what with all the breaks for various reasons.

I assume the two who have pleaded guilty haven't been sentenced yet?

Plus it must include time for the defence(s) to put their case forward.

Yes, that's mostly what I meant, because usually each defendant will have a separate defence barrister representing him/her.

Afaik, 10 years. I will search old articles to make sure.

Edit:
Neighbours said the former serviceman was the son of Becky's step mum, Anjie Galsworthy, 49, who has been with Becky's father Darren for more than 10 years.

SH says something like "Becky was almost like a daughter to her" in her second interview and it keeps coming back and annoying me. Partly because the past tense is chilling but I'm sure I read in news report that RW called AG 'mum.' Maybe it's just her way of speaking but it seems like she's trying to downplay their relationship.

With regards to not knowing about the searches, maybe the family decided not to tell them because they were suspicious? Rather than SH/NM deciding not to go.

The knife wounds were inflicted post mortem

Apparently she was wearing a onesie and green sweater at the time of death. These were removed before her body was stabbed.

Somewhere in NM's statement, he says that Becky would say "Mum, Nathan's being mean to me" ...

From all I've read, A & D have been together a very long time and A was the 'Mum' that'd brought Becky up since a toddler.

I've been looking through SH's family members profiles and nobody seems to care about what's going on, just like SH is nothing to do with them.

Who has their daughter?

I would presume she's being fostered by social services.

I think that's why she was suddenly going to her moms house, so that her mom would get to know her daughter and look after her, in case of arrest.
Was the child too young to be interviewed?

By all reports, she was only 2 at the time.

Which why this case is so shocking, NM and SH had nefarious plans for Becky once they brought her to their house, dead or alive.
NM caring about her welfare after the fact, doesn't ring true to me. This was the beginning of a murderous relationship, where their daughter would be present in the house or vehicle after kidnapping teenage girls if they got away with Becky's murder. NM and SH are Fred and Rose West. JMO

Yes their thought into the welfare of their child was non existent before (state of squalor they lived in) during (child being present) and after ( child living in same house whilst they were doing what they were doing - plus imo that shower head is set as though they've bathed the child in the same freaking bath) what they did to becky

Do we know if any of the accused have ever served time or been arrested for previous offenses? Sorry if this has already been covered.

  • #315
Personally, I don't pay much heed to the height of the shower head. If I've showered the dog or even cleaned the bath i'll have the shower head low down.

ETA - I don't think most people shower their toddler either, mine always had a bath until they were older.

  • #316
They probably would have bathed her in that bath, but perhaps they were doing it at SH mum's house. It's not really much of a stretch to think that someone who is capable of murdering a young girl and then dismembering her body wouldn't have much thought for bathing their child in the same bath.

I don't think this would be talked about would it? Wouldn't it be influencing to the current case?

No doubt we'll find out after the verdict.

I read an article - way back when Becky was still * missing* that said she had lived with her father and AG since she was 3.

Even if the family did not tell them - understandable - they would still have to have been living in a bubble not to know abou them. It was headline news locally and nationally and all over social media, which NM and SH no doubt viewed each day.
