Extremely interesting about the neighbours reporting a lot of noise. It would be interesting to know if those neihbours reported at the time, if they knew the names of their neighbours and had read news reports about Becky missing. Or, if later the police had asked the neighbours questions.

I am confused why Police were not able to get a warrant to go into SH and NMs house during the 3 days when they spent a lot of time in Southmead at SHs mothers house. If the police located SH and NM in southmead couldnt they have insisted that they go back to their home?

Admin, can you give us an idea how long verification takes?

Retribution I think personally that this is one of those cases where emotions run high, everyone has an opinion and hearsay often gets tangled up with facts which can lead to confusion. If I'm honest I've been a bit dubious myself and feel that you being verified would certainly alleviate that and once you are verified I'll be interested to hear any new facts you can share on this case.

I am not a mod/admin, but I can say that I have followed a few cases where it seemed to take some days between someone suggesting they are an insider and requesting to be verified to them actually becoming verified, so I remember the process taking a few days.

I don't think Retribution would have publicly said she has requested to be verified if she hadn't since that could be called out rather quickly. Also people should keep in mind that
Insiders are still just giving an opinion from their perspective, we can choose to accept their account or not. It's always very nice to have them on cases, I find they often give us a better sense of the victim and who they were as a person.

For Retribution: You mentioned that you have major surgery planned and I'd like to wish you good health, I hope you are up and at it again soon as possible!

Police couldn't force them to do anything at that point, they had not been arrested or charged. In any case unless a person grants permission for the police to search their property then the only way police could enter is with a search warrant. I am guessing that at that time police had their suspicions about the pair but did not have any/enough evidence at that time to justify putting in a search warrant request..

Do you think having a lot of clutter and messy house is a trait of a psychopath? Just interested because I seem to see almost as much shock on here about the cluttered house as about the actual killing etc.

I don't, most hoarders are very insular, introverted and quiet people.

I verge on OCD so to me the living conditions are atrocious. Obviously not in the grand scale of things when we talk about the crime. I think it's more shocking because they had a child & an animal living in them filthy conditions, it's disgusting.

There still seem to be conflicting reports this morning about whether the makeup staining was on one or both of the masks.

Wondering if the defense of SH could try and claim that this makeup had 'leaked' from some of the other makeup items found in the bags? I can't seem to find the list of exactly what was in each bag.

The other thing I'm not sure I've seen mentioned here is that there was a mask 'alledgedly used in the failed kidnap attempt' shown in the video walkthrough of NM and SH's house that was shown to the court yesterday (this was reported on the Crimes against children database on FB).

Their reluctance to allow police to search their home would have set alarm bells ringing though, I believe this 'reluctance' was mentioned to SH in part of the second interview with her that was released to the public.

As someone who uses the white diy face masks, they cover the nose and mouth. As someone who uses these masks and who wears make up I would say that anyone could tell what is staining from wearing it and what is spilled make up getting on it.

The only thing I can see on the list that could be questionable in contaminating the mask is the used Avon brush. If the brush has rouge but the mask has foundation, she's in trouble, imo. But you're right, it could be a problem.

Eurohike Rucksack:
A used Avon make up brush
Apparent blood-stained goggles
Used roll of brown tape
A black-handled six-pointer screw driver
Pink spotted shower curtain
Asda cling film cardboard box
Mask with apparent makeup and staining on the edge
Handcuffs
Knife with 12.5cm blade - apparent hair
Scissors
Blue handled flat-headed screw driver
Drain cleaner bottle, apparently blood stained
Blue handled pliers
Rajani Stores bag, apparently blood stained
Hooded, black Cedarwood State faux leather jacket
Small pink leopard print onesie

Black suitcase:
Bin bag wrapped in three layers of cling film
Pair of brown socks - apparently worn - blood staining on one
George, size 8-10 short-legged, blue onesie - apparent blood stained
Wooden bead - found in duvet cover
Broken beaded bracelet - found in duvet cover
Small electrical chip
Black and white flower motif pillow case with apparent blood stains
Green Boohoo jumper with apparent blood staining that had a cut at the back, from the bottom to the top
Small pieces of broken plastic - inside the jumper
White duvet cover with apparent blood staining, and what might be scorch marks

But could they prove that beyond reasonable doubt? It's just worrying me, but hopefully you're right!

Yes of course but this alone would not have been evidence that they were involved or had anything to hide and wouldn't have helped police in securing a warrant

Oh yeah, for sure. I just meant that the police probably would've had them very high on their list of suspicions from the get go.

Yes, I too am still waiting to see some note re the * alleged* mask that NM wore when he tried to kidnap Becky ( or so he says )
Considering that there is a very comprehensive list of all items found in the shed, it is unusual that this mask has not been mentioned.
As Ive said before, I think he made up that story about the mask.

RSBM -

Jaydene Parsons and Karl Demetrius have pleaded guilty to assisting an offender.

Donovan Demetrius and Ireland deny the charge.

it does appear they only put two and two together after NM's arrest for murder. I wonder how that will work with 2 pleading guilty and 2 not guilty, if they virtually were in the same predicament?
