Found Deceased UK - Richard Morris, 52, British Diplomat, Farnham, Hampshire, 6 May 2020

I'm not a mind reader but I bet the police are thinking: if the dashcam runner doesn't come forward then it could well be that the man we see is Morris.
Comparing the runner with Morris in the wheelchair picture - the tops are similar (both have a white logo on the left top), the shoes are a similar colour and the build of the runner matches that of Morris.
I'll go with that theory, I think it's him. Moo.

I agree. After watching the entire clip I think it really looks like him. Moreover, what are the odds that a similarly dressed runner (who also looks like him) would be sighted in the same area at around the same time that RM could have been running in the same neighbourhood?

It isn't the best footage but I definitely think that if you knew this person, you'd recognize them from this footage.

Presume they think this runner may be a witness?
Indeed, not very clear footage, but in my opinion this looks like RM. Same build, height, and even the clothes he wears.

Even this brief footage shows a distinctive running style. It would be interesting to compare it to an existing video of RM running, if one can be found. I haven't been able to find one.

His family would probably be best when it comes to recognising his gait. I suspect that the police have already asked them.

Surely his family would recognise him though, so why would the police want further confirmation? Wouldn’t they just ask if anyone else had seen him or had more dashcam footage?

Here are the blue shoes again, picture taken from RM's twitterfeed. I's say the colour coordination is perfect, the blue of the T-shirt does not clash with the shoes.

IMHO the man that the police seek to identify is not Richard Morris. The man in the video is wearing a T-shirt and RM was wearing a blue long-sleeved top with a half zip, which is a totally different garment. You cannot roll up those sleeves to make them look like the short sleeves of a T-shirt.

In the pictures that I have seen, RM is wearing similar short running shorts and the shorts of this man are almost knee-length.

Another picture from his twitter feed: lots of leg even in the snow (and a half-zip with long sleeves):

He is sometimes pictured (green top) with a t-shirt under his zip long sleeved top.
I'm suprised that the army of UK dog walkers out and about haven't found him yet. Moo.

as a runner myself if i was heading out to the forest/woodland i would wear trail running trainers

for path, it would be normal running trainers

wonder what type of running shoe he had on

Alice Holt has a range of paths and trails of differing types. So he may have been using normal trainers.

The more I look at it, the more convinced I am that it’s RM or someone who looks like him.

Nothing new, just bumping and expressing surprise that strangely, RM has not yet been located, imo.

I couldn't agree more. I'm really hoping for some news soon.

East Hants Police

From the press release:

Over the past 15 weeks specialist officers have searched over 9 square kilometres of land in their efforts to find Richard.

Alice Holt Forest, including bodies of water within, and areas surrounding Alton and Binstead were searched by our officers, assisted by our colleagues from the British Transport Police and Hampshire Search and Rescue Service.

In addition, officers have viewed hours of CCTV footage, conducted house to house enquiries and followed a number of lines of enquiry – many of which came from information from the community.

Just wow.

IMHO if he had a medical emergency like a heart attack, he should have been found by now.

Well, that's quite interesting. Moo.

I'm really glad to see an update, even one like this.

If one was to imagine that RM for whatever reason, chose to alter his appearance, it could be done- even hiding the port wine birth mark on his face that makes him so identifiable.
He could wear makeup to cover it..

Then grow and colour a beard and mustache, shave his head bald or grow hair very long (cover ears), wear large sunglasses and/or hat, wear a face mask (covid) and gain weight or stuff something under shirt to simulate a beer belly.
Wear all black, keeping legs covered, remove watch, carry cane, alter speech pattern to reflect a more pedestrian tone.
speculation, imo, fwiw.
