We are appealing for the public's help to find missing 91-year-old man Robert Knight from #Colchester.

Robert hasn't been seen since this morning (3 August) and his family are growing concerned.

He is described as a white man with grey hair. He is believed to be wearing checked pattern shorts and a shirt with a collar. He is also likely to be wearing white Reebok trainers.

Robert is known to walk around Colchester Town Centre and Abbey Fields.

We are continuing for the public’s help to find missing man Robert Knight, who hasn’t been seen since leaving his home address in Midland Close, #Colchester at around 10am yesterday morning (3 August).

Chief Inspector Stephen Scott-Haynes said “We have established one of Robert’s common walking routes and appealing to residents and local businesses along this route who may have any CCTV, camera doorbell or dashcam footage from 10am yesterday to review it and then contact us if they can help.

“In addition to this route, Robert is also known to walk around Colchester Town Centre and Abbey Fields.

“I’d like to thank the members of the public who have called us already with information and encourage anyone who has seen someone matching Robert’s description to contact us.”

Robert is described as a white man with grey hair. He is believed to be wearing checked pattern shorts and a shirt with a collar. He is also likely to be wearing white Reebok trainers.

The local community will notice an increased presence whilst officers carry out enquiries to locate Robert. NPAS and our Dog Unit have been deployed since Robert’s disappearance and our officers have been joined by Search and Rescue volunteers.

A HUGE search for a missing 91-year-old man who has not been seen since leaving his home yesterday morning is gathering momentum.

Robert Knight, of Midland Close, Colchester, disappeared from his property at about 10am on August 3, prompting the launch of a police investigation.

Mr Knight, described as a white man with grey hair, is believed to have been wearing checked pattern shorts, a shirt with a collar and white Reebok trainers.
According to Essex Police, he is known to regularly walk around Colchester City Centre and the Abbey Fields area.
