Couldn't remember the black eye from 11 days before sara died but could remember never threatening to kill anyone and funnily enough he could remember not squeezing his exs face while threatening her 14 years previously !!! Selective memory syndrome is what that isHe is a "poet".

Poor olga not only has she lost her child but she was obviously a very vulnerable young woman with suspected intellectual difficulties to begin with and to think urfan has caused her to suffer previous and present trauma with all he put her through but he also ensured he put her through trauma for the rest of her life by killing her beautiful daughter. Hopefully NS will be returned to either her care or her family's and they can have a good life together in the future
I felt the gambling and drinking history was the least of the wows for sure
I'm certain you and everyone on here including myself had to lift their jaw off the floor reading the staggering history of abuse This man inflicted
I don't trust Urfan's family. How did they produce a monster like that? Where did he learn that violence from? The boy will soon be an adult, so he can choose where to live.
Let him finish his education first.
Grandfather promised to organize a good private school for him in Pakistan.
I doubt the teen will decide to part with his siblings now.
I guess the kids are treated kindly
as the family is under stern watchful eye of Pakistani Court.
I doubt they will ever return to the UK.
But it is only MO.
Maybe by marrying bienash??Did Urfan actually get British citizenship?
Yes, as we know his earlier relationships with talk of marriage happened when his visa was running out. But I think you have to be of good character - and by the time he married her it must have been evident he wasn't.Maybe by marrying bienash??
Yes, isn't that amazing? I'm afraid this is where the cultural (I won't call it religious) norms come into play.Mr Sharif also denied locking Olga in a room and taking her phone, but said keeping hold of her bank cards was "normal husband and wife behaviour".

Sara Sharif's father 'threatened to kill ex-partners', court hears
Three former partners accuse Urfan Sharif of threats to kill and false imprisonment since 2004.www.bbc.co.uk
By the looks of it urfan was abusing NS before Sara was born as article says he was arrested and accused of hurting a child before sara while with olga and burn marks on a child which he claimed child burnt themselves from a bbq while playing football . The mind boggles as to how this man was given a free reign to continue inflicting damage on women and children. Surely eyebrows should have been raised when he hurt a 0ne month old baby how much more helpless could a child be and hardly a child being as he alleges being naughtyMr Sharif also denied locking Olga in a room and taking her phone, but said keeping hold of her bank cards was "normal husband and wife behaviour".

One would suspect but obviously if he was awarded custody of Sara and NS he was deemed a fit and able parent of good character.Yes, as we know his earlier relationships with talk of marriage happened when his visa was running out. Don't think it's even a cultural phenomenon I think it's just a trait of people who abuse don't they get a kick out of controlling everything including financial controlYes, isn't that amazing? I'm afraid this is where the cultural (I won't call it religious) norms come into play.
Love Caroline Carberry. Apparently she lead the legal team that secured the first conviction for FGM in the UK. Huge respect. So glad she has Sara's justice on her agenda.![]()
Sara Sharif’s father was accused of abusing three girlfriends, court hears
Urfan Sharif allegedly reported to police for controlling behaviour by three ‘unconnected’ women before his daughter’s deathwww.theguardian.com
A similar report with one or two interesting additions, showing how carefully the lawyer pursued her line of questioning. e.g.
'Carberry said: “It’s going to take a while to unpick the misleading impression you gave to the jury last week of you as a man, husband and father.
“I want to make it clear to you from the start that you are a lying, manipulative and controlling man.”'
and, re the woman in 2007,
'Carberry asked: “Did you ever threaten to kill her?” Sharif replied: “Never.”
Carberry added: “That’s a bit of a theme, something you say to women you’re in a relationship with.”'
Absolutely, it's a classic sign of coercive control, but I think his background is a factor in his unashamedly making that statement. While I have not lived in Pakistan I have lived in a country where women had to get their husbands' written permission to leave the country or they would be prevented at the border, and financial independence was certainly not expected. Anyway - it's not on, regardless!Don't think it's even a cultural phenomenon I think it's just a trait of people who abuse don't they get a kick out of controlling everything including financial control
It's pimp behaviour to control the meagre earnings of a partner to fund one's addictions and vices. In no way "normal husband-wife" behaviour. To be depleted instead of supported. I too hope Olga has access to healing in future.Poor olga not only has she lost her child but she was obviously a very vulnerable young woman with suspected intellectual difficulties to begin with and to think urfan has caused her to suffer previous and present trauma with all he put her through but he also ensured he put her through trauma for the rest of her life by killing her beautiful daughter. I don't believe he can have been regarded in that entirely positive way. And yet they let it happen. I'd like to know how many times he had been reported to the police before he made his citizenship application. One would suspect but obviously if he was awarded custody of Sara and NS he was deemed a fit and able parent of good character.

Me neither. They didn’t produce just one of them either- his brother is also on trial. Not only that, but they helped them hide. I do not believe for even a nanosecond that they only helped them hide for the benefit of the other children or because they believed that Sara’s death had been an accident.I don't trust Urfan's family. How did they produce a monster like that? Where did he learn that violence from?
