Today we saw what appeared to be a significant developement in the search for Sarah.

A new crime scene was put up at around 4.30pm on Tuesday, March 9 around a block of flats - Poynders Court, on Poynders Road, which is the last location Sarah was seen.

Forensics have been searching the area thoroughly for hours.

I can see the bag with shoes in too but would she be holding then in a see through bag for all to see - surely it would be in a brown bag to conceal the evidence - I don’t know as I’m not a SOCO - anyone with forensics knowledge?

I don't believe that a Scenes of Crime Officer would be walking about with the evidence, particularly in such a public area with media a plenty.

Any item, once photographed/videoed in situ and bagged correctly would be passed to a dedicated exhibits officer to ensure continuity, security and prevent any allegations of possible cross-contamination.

From memory, shoes should be placed in brown paper exhibit bags to enable them to 'breathe'. There's nothing worse than an exhibit going mouldy in a plastic bag!

I think so too. Also, please correct me if I am wrong, the forensics did not enter the block of flats.

I wonder if a resident in Poynder Court didn’t report either noise of some altercation or some kind of sketchy behaviour happening around the 9:30 pm timeframe outside the bloc or in the grassy area adjacent to the bins/garaging. Perhaps in addition a name was given, or else someone in the Poynder Court had a past record of a violent offence so prompting a visit from police/forensics. They were inside Poynder Court for some time; I presume inside one of the flats.

it depends what side of the road she was walking on, but she could have been dragged here and into the park very quickly without anyone seeing anything. However, I think she was more likely walking on the other side of the road and may have been threatened at the junction of Rodenhurst Road. As you say if she was threatened she may have stayed quiet assuming that this would cause her the least amount of harm. There have been other reports of similar reports around this area here over the last 6 weeks

The police are very interested at this Poynder Road/Rodenhurst Road area. They are doing a finger tip search of the grass area, photos show they are interested in the top of the low fence surrounding this grassy area (low enough for someone to be pulled over) and they have placed evidence markers on the pavement on the other side of the grassy area/and in front of Poynders Court.

Adding some images for those unable to access to archives from the Traffic cams. The map shows the camera in relation to the red warning area the police have cordoned off. I believe those turning right in the images would be turning onto Poynders Rd.

An opportunistic perp unknown to SE who was on foot is logical but in an area with so much activity? Something just isn’t adding up.

To be honest they don’t look particularly fussed about that in general. The cordon is not that far back and most of what they are doing is being captured by normal cameras yet alone the long lense capabilities of the media

Can I just ask anyone on here if they would know what the standard protocol would be if a body had been found in the flats? Would it be cordoned off with police guard overnight to allow forensics time to examine? Would residents have to be removed? Could the police tell MSM to carry on with the ‘missing person’ line until the morning or would the MSM find out and create a story anyway? Just wondering if it’s standard to close a road and have police guards when it’s just a standard search

I just wonder whether someone in the flats has seen a potential perp hanging around near the flats either that night or on other occasions and LE have CCTV or a description to back that up.
Maybe LE are looking for things the perp may have discarded (for DNA. prints to run through the Police database) and not any actual items relevant to SE at the moment.

They're obviously working from some intel.

The only thing that seems to make sense to me is that SE knew the perp. And by that it could range from them being friends through to just being someone she saw in passing often on that route, or even someone she saw earlier that day. I'm struggling to see how anyone she didn't know could possibly abduct her in that location without raising huge suspicion.

IMO I'm thinking the same. The other reports of crime in the area seem very sloppy and spontaneous. (Even though there is no word on catching them)

I have another theory: they are cordoning off the block of flats and police officers remain there during the night (according to Daily Mail), so they must have found some sort of (strong) evidence. Maybe they have to examine that evidence and give more information to the press in the morning. The press still has headlines like „the search is still ongoing“. So if any suspicious person is trying to leave the flats during the night (thinking nothing has been found) police will be there to capture them. Just my 2 cents. [Sorry, English is not my mother tongue.]
