I get the feeling this guy wanted to get caught

MOO: if this was not an only offence, he might have realised he was building up to striking again. OK, this is a stretch, and very much JMO, but what if he wanted to be caught for the IE? He knew he couldn't stop himself, but knew he could be stopped IYSWIM. Then, nothing happened and to warped thinking, it was a sign that he should not stop?

At around 9.35pm, a bus camera captured two figures on Poynders Road and a white Vauxhall Astra with its hazard lights flashing.

Another bus camera captured the same car with both front doors open.

Sarah Everard’s body found in builder’s bag, court told
From that article: "Ms Everard was caught alone on CCTV at quarter past nine, caught again on a camera at 9.28pm, and later caught on the camera of a marked police car at 9.32pm."

Has anyone spotted that car on the CCTV? I didn't think it's been mentioned.

This has lots of new information in re: dashcam and doorbell cam footage and also the "hire car"

Another bus camera captured the same car with both front doors open. The registration of the vehicle – later confirmed to be a car hired in Dover – was captured and tracked by police as it left London towards Kent."

So there was a third car, I think LL said one black Seat and one small peugeot removed from the address???

UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London, Clapham Common, 3 March 2021 MEDIA MAPS TIMELINE *NO DISCUSSION*

I recommend the Scottish article @Chiatos has referenced in the media thread. Lots of info that was given in court
Very interesting article. Thanks for the heads-up
ETA. On a reread, article states WC was in work on March 2nd after which he was on leave until 8th? Thought he was on a 2 till 8 shift on March 4th,kidnapping SE on his way home.
Don't like these discrepancies in MSM, makes me doubt their veracity. Bad enough when reports are compared from different newspapers, but often there are errors within one article.

White Astra ? Is this a car evere seen outside his address?
It was a hire car. If that was the car Couzens used, it means he planned it.

I wonder if the Astra found burnt out near the golf course is the hire car?

That is so out of date the majority of posters are no longer with us (in a not posting kinda way, not in a dead kinda way)

lol, yes this is so, but the verified expert in question is on that list

Ms Everard was caught alone on CCTV at quarter past nine, caught again on a camera at 9.28pm, and later caught on the camera of a marked police car at 9.32pm.

At around 9.35pm, a bus camera captured two figures on Poynders Road and a white Vauxhall Astra with its hazard lights flashing.

Another bus camera captured the same car with both front doors open.

On March 2 he began a 12-hour shift at 7pm before going on leave.

He was due back at work on March 8 but on March 5 he reported that he was suffering from stress.

On March 6 he emailed his supervisor to say he did not want to carry a firearm anymore.
Thank you for highlighting that, a lot of new information. My mouth did drop open a little when I read that a marked police car caught things on camera.

I wonder if the hazard lights on the hire car possibly suggest that WC was actively waiting for Sarah or someone else to pass by to abduct?

A possible chain of events is still a puzzle to me

I am quite sure, knowing Otto, he was not posting or attempting to post as a verified anything in this particular thread. I doubt it even crossed his mind that it would be questioned.

Thank you

Was the burnt out car found definitely an Astra? Which begs the question, if that was WC hire car .. how did he get home from there?

So maybe he did stop her by putting on his hazards? Or was already stopped, pretending to need help? And they were both outside the car with the doors open as they were caught on camera?

I think it was reported as a white Ford Focus (just trying to find source) , but very much the same type of vehicle....likely JMO

EDIT
How police spent days trying to piece together Sarah Everard's last known movements | Daily Mail Online
"Rob, a resident whose family owns part of the wood, said: 'My family used to bury sheep in there in the old days. No one ever goes through it because it's private. It's all bramble and trees.' He said flytippers often dumped rubbish there, including old cars, including a burnt-out silver Ford Focus close to where officers were searching."

When I read “hazard lights flashing” I automatically think of someone staging a car breakdown.

Definitely many things to digest in that article. Props to the journalist for clearly reporting the facts laid out in court, which is more than most MSM has done.

It was a hire car. If that was the car Couzens used, it means he planned it.

I'm not sure using a car that could be tracked back to him if spotted means any planning. Unless he stole a car any vehicle that he was spotted in would lead back to him. A hire car is also more difficult to clean thoroughly afterwards, would he take that risk of having no control over it?

Speculation and JMO if he hired it in Dover then he may have driven either the Seat or Peugeot to Dover and collected the car there. EC might not know.anything about him hiring the car as she just saw him go out and come back in one of the family cars?

Excellent, this clears a lot up!

To simplify the events of the night:

  • 9:15pm Sarah seen alone on CCTV

  • 9:28pm again seen alone

  • 9:32pm caught on police dashcam

  • 9:35pm bus cam captures white Astra with hazards flashing, two people. Another bus cam shows driver and passenger door open.

That just made my heart drop. She should have been safe in the area that she was in. This is absolutely heartbreaking

MSM journalist wrote this on Twitter 30 mins ago. I dread to think what we might find out:

Wayne Couzens was remanded in custody today following the kidnap/murder of Sarah Everard. It was a horrifying and stressful court hearing. Very little can be reported now. What is alleged, what the press heard, was scary. Going to hug my girl friends a little closer when I can.

How awful, I'm guessing that relates to what happened to Sarah between 9.35 and her being found
