Yes... I’ve never owned one or tried putting it in the back of a car but seems that’s impossible from other people it was just an idea as to how he may have travelled home after burning the Astra which one poster mentioned was a possibility. Moo

I’ve only ever had a 50cc scooter and there’s absolutely no way I’d get it into the boot of my car. They’re much heavier than you’d expect. So a motorbike would definitely need a trailer or a van.

That said, we don’t have verification of an Astra being found burnt out. So I’m wondering now whether he did indeed park his own car up at the rental place and return the Astra there before swapping into his own vehicle again.

What the point would be in all of this I have no idea! Because you’d need to use your real name to hire the car in the first place.

The thing with having so many new British members in the last couple of years, and us all being crammed onto a little island, is there’s always somebody local to a case. Pretty sure LL “wins” for the direct view though!
This is true but I would be very careful with disclosing my location, and I would be worried that someone would take revenge on me.

The email was sent on 6th March, 3 days after SE was kidnapped. We don’t know exactly what had happened to her / her body by the 6th but he had allegedly already kidnapped her by then....

Ahhh sorry, I missed that. Maybe still building his defence then? By that point it was too late to protect anyone....bar himself. MOO

Could be that he was picked up by his wife IMO

Just thinking... if both passenger and driver side doors of the car were open, does that suggest Sarah got in his car willingly? I’m trying to think of various scenarios which would have both doors open.
I envisioned opening driver door and leaving open whilst going round to open passenger- talk to Sarah/ putting sarah in car (in whatever form/ I don’t think sarah willingly got in- coersed or threatened) back round the drivers side. Drives off. I think sarah was injured as she would try to climb through to open door I think.

if car auto locks are on doors can be opened from inside but once 🤬🤬🤬🤬 can’t be opened except from door lock button usually on driver side by wing mirror.

all speculation.

Yes I think this could be a possibility. I'm on the fence with WC. His demeanour in court could be one of two things : This was not premeditated murder but rather a rape gone wrong. The other possibility is it was premeditated and is he is a complete psychopath. This could all be an act to get away with murder by insanity.

I wouldnt be entirely shocked if he's linked to other missing women.

I agree. Could easily have been a rape or attempted rape gone wrong, rejected advances after she got in the car (voluntarily or otherwise), physical attack as she struggled and tried to escape, she could have told him she would report him (perhaps he told her he was in the Police when he first approached her) any of which could have ended in murder.

He may have used lime to scorch the body. Lime + water = slaked lime. Lime doesn't destroy plastic
Builder's cement? That would have lime in? And he may have already had some on his driveway (in a builders bag) ready to make concrete for the pond he was allegedly building? Jmo.

a bang over the head?

Yes, that's a possibility but maneuvering an unconscious person into a car on a busy road you'd think would have been noticed by someone

If he hit her head after she got in she still might have got in willingly and the logistics of fully knocking someone out would be difficult IMO

Either building his defence or just in sheer utter panic / breakdown as a result of his alleged actions...? JMO and I wonder if we’ll ever find out.

he could also have easily and quickly handcuffed her to keep her restrained. Moo

How come only this Scottish paper has all the info?

White Vauxhall Astra. That was/wasn't car at lights on the Tfl camera then? Did anyone here see the Astra?

It couldn't have been, the Astra doesn't have indicator lights on its wing mirrors.

As a police officer, he may have known how to get hold of fake ID for the car hire.

What is the standard for an insanity defense in the UK? Maybe @Nikynoo can share what the options are here?

It is very high in the US. Singing to yourself thinking you’re a sheep high for NGRI. There are ways to attack intent elements in a crime using different mental defects but it’s rare to actually work. Being suicidal or depressed wouldn’t get you off for murder. Defense lawyers in the 00s always tried to blame the meds like SSRIs but that doesn’t usually work either.

I have seen this appeal for witnesses linked several times over the various threads (Police manhunt after 26-year-old woman sexually assaulted near Clapham Common), but had considered it unlikely to be WC as the assault took place in 2020 with a suspect who is reported to be "balding", while all of the pictures we have seen of WC indicate that he has maintained the same fully bald/fully shaved head since at least 2015. Today's court drawing shows that he is not actually fully naturally bald and is capable of presenting as "balding" should he not shave the remainder of his head (Sarah Everard: Wayne Couzens appears in court charged with murder).

I will speak in generalities and hypotheticals because frankly I'm spooked by media restrictions.

IF a person were planning a crime, with the magnitude bookmarked by kidnapping and murder, that person might prepare a site beforehand. With materials, an escape vehicle, etc.

IF a person took time off work, it may have been with such a plan in mind. And while a person like that may be aware of his plans, an unknowing spouse might not even know. He could dress and leave for work daily, just never go there.

In a scenario like this down to the minute, a person might've been only marginally late getting home the first night. Returning to his prepared site the following day, instead of the pretensed work. Driving only his personal vehicle or motorbike to and from home to avoid any suspicion.

The degree of precision terrifies me.

Builder's bag? After googling it, I'm just horrified - I mean, the whole case is terrible for her family, but to put her body in such an awful thing?

A few years back, my friend's sister's husband murdered her and put her body in a suitcase. At least it wasn't a cheap old builder's bag?

What a blatant disregard for SE's life. I just... why do these killers see their victims as garbage? I just...
