At his hearing they said the autopsy was just completed but did not publicly release the results. They can add charges later if they have evidence of further crimes and they feel it would help in their prosecution.

In the Jayme Closs case the state did not charge the suspect with sexual assault out of respect for the victim as they already charged him with murder of her parents and kidnapping. It doesn’t mean it didn’t happen just that they did not think the charges were necessary when the guy was going away for life anyway.

Thank you for this, it answered my earlier question on more charges being added such as rape. In the UK life doesn’t always mean life in the same terms that it does in the US. Does anyone know of any similar instances in the UK?

If he was coming off shift, was he in uniform?

Off-duty police aren't allowed to wear uniform. They have to change to civilian clothes before going home.

Just passed Wandsworth police station where I think WC being held and an ambulance on blues and twos was entering the gates (about 18.20)

Yes possibly...but if it all happened very fast - if she was already injured in some way - if he caught up to her quickly and bundled her back into the car - is it possible very few people would have seen this? I know we are missing a great many details from the press reports from the court appearance this morning - is it possible that a detail like that could actually have been presented in court but the information wasn't allowed to be shared outside the court? Is it possible there are additional CCTV or dashcam photos or motorist eyewitness statements that were mentioned in court that we aren't allowed to know about at this time? Again all IMO.

Hi everyone. Just coming out of lurkdom with a possible scenario to explain both front doors being open on the white car that was captured on the bus cam. What if SE agreed to get into the car but then very quickly realized this was not a good idea and she managed to get the passenger door open and tried to run away. WC then pursued her on foot and caught her. That would explain both car doors being left open - signalling a quick exit by both people. We're told the bus cam and the police car dashcam captured the white car and two individuals, and then we're told a further cam showed the white car with both doors open. We're not told about the timeline of this - whether the white car was in the same place or if it had moved down the road - and we're not told about the timing of these pictures - were they in rapid sequence or had a little time passed between them. IMO only and all supposition.

I just don't think you could grap someone and force them into the car without someone seeing the commotion and getting involved on that stretch of road (even if he was pulled right up onto the curb). Also she'd most likely be screaming her head off, covering her mouth whilst trying to pick her up isn't easy. I'm inclined to think the use of a badge or less likely a knife. This is all my opinion, I remarked that I didn't think it could have all happened on that road and I was wrong. nothing surprises me about this case anymore. It's just awful

I used to live on Kings Avenue similar distance from the road as the flats and remember a woman getting hit by a car at a level crossing and can still hear the piercing scream in my head. Of course, she could have been in complete shock and not made a noise but jmo

Hi all - been lurking for a few days. This is a case that has really shocked me to my core. Deeply disturbing and sickening in every way, very much hoping for justice for Sarah. RIP.

Came across something interesting that I thought was worth sharing. I've taken note of the mention of the white Astra and accessed a site whereby stills are available from TFL cameras, particularly looking at March 3.

My car knowledge isn't great, but does this look like a white Astra? Lighting makes it look like two figures in the car to my eyes also. If so, purely speculation - could this potentially be WC? I could be totally wrong here as I'm not local to London and unsure if this is the right direction they would've supposedly been travelling in?

Will delete if not allowed as per WC being charged, or in respect of breaking any rules. Just thought it worth sharing for discussion, perhaps even if this needs to be reported?

I completely agree with this. IMO there is no need to fake a breakdown. COVID restrictions would justify a stop, especially as SE would be unlikely to know he was a firearms officer.

An alternative theory that crossed my mind was the possibility he pulled over to ask if she’d seen a suspect (robbery, assault or similar) and offered her a lift home to keep her safe. Trusting a policeman in that situation is very plausible.

But he wasn’t wearing a police uniform and he wasn’t in a police car. As a woman alone at night I’d need to see more than a police badge to get in a car with a bulky man at night JMO MOO

Why would she accept a lift home from someone with a broken down vehicle when she was nearly there? She'd have to wait with him until recovery came and then hope they could start it immediately.

Sorry, don't mean to be rude but that would make no sense.

She may have lent him her phone to make the call and then things escalated from there, but I don't see any scenario relating to breakdown that would make her get in his car of her own accord.

I thing the hazards are simply because he is in a busy area where cars shouldn't be parked. It sounds odd, but he is more likely to draw attention to plain old parked car than he is with hazards. People stop all over London where they shouldn't to just pop into a shop or something and use their hazards.

They are not allowed - but I am fairly sure they can. My friend worked for the police and if I remember correctly she used to wash her own uniform. She would get changed when coming off shift but would still have the uniform in her possession. So where the rules may be that they shouldn't, there would be nothing to stop him doing it if he so chose.

I stand to be corrected on this though if I am wrong.

If I remember rightly PR had the further charge of rape added much later. This was due to the length of time LS had been in the water and the processes they had to use to obtain that evidence.

Does anyone know whether SE had flatmates? I've not seen it mentioned (though struggling to keep up) but if she did, presumably they'd have noticed her coming home. I don't think the police would have centred the search (and search efforts of her loved ones) around Poynders Court & surrounds if they knew she had got all the way home. JMO.

No she lived alone. Can't find the relevant report stating this but I've definitely seen it.

They don't need DNA per se. to prove assault as far as I know though. His motivation and behaviour, maybe stuff he looked at online could all point to why he abducted her and form a strong case and later charges added. Maybe legal people can offer more insight?

Honestly from the way one of the tabloids made it sound on the reporting of the court hearing today, it sounds like they aren't actually sure what happened at the moment and how she was taken from the CCTV they have available to them
As i understand the CCTV is from passing busses? Surely one of the drivers would have seen if something dodgy was happening

MSM Source with new details regarding the white Astra he hired from Dover and new information of different shift times (from previously reported) that he worked on the day Sarah was kidnapped.

Reported in Scottish news, where legal and publishing rules are different to England.
Timeline of Sarah Everard’s disappearance

Woah #1. "begins a 12-hour shift at 7pm before going on leave." So he would've finished around 7am the day Sarah went missing - where was he between then & her kidnap?

Woah #2. "At around 9.35pm, a bus camera captures two figures on Poynders Road and a white Vauxhall Astra with its hazard lights flashing." That's more info than we had.

Woah #3. "WC, who is due back at work in a few days, reports that he is suffering from stress." 2 days after Sarah's kidnap.

Woah #4. "WC emails his supervisor to say he does not want to carry a firearm anymore." 3 days after Sarah's kidnap.

My head is spinning, hadn't read all this before.

Hi everyone, been following this thread a while. Have there been any updates regarding the woodland search? Was just curious if it had be scaled back now her body has been found and identified. Given the equipment it looked like they planned to be there for the long haul.

The MSM articles providing the new details on camera footage state that it was two separate cameras (one each from two buses respectively) that captured the hazard lights and then the open front doors, with no clear details but suggests that the hazard lights were captured around 9:35pm. The open doors may have been around this time too, or slightly later.

Anyway, the report also advises that a marked police car captured SE walking alone around 9:32, three mins before the hazards were caught on the first bus camera.

I wonder if WC passed SE on Poynders Rd, maybe even saw the end of the phone call at 9:28 which prompted him to select her as his target and then pulled over to the side of the road. As he was waiting, I wonder if he spotted the marked police car and the hazards were put on so as not to alert the ‘unlawful’ parking.

As the police car passes, the hazards could have been switched off and the kidnap unfolds. I’m basing this on the assumption that the police car was heading in the direction that WC was and therefore passed him, but of course this might not be the case. But may explain why the second camera that caught the doors open didn’t capture hazard lights. Unless of course it did but the media release didn’t think to add this having mentioned it on the first bus cam.
