UK UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London - Clapham Common area, 3 March 2021 *Arrests* #7

A previous poster mentioned she had been contact/ harassed on social media by WC some years ago (I can’t find the post), but I hope this has been reported and is being taken seriously.
SBM - I don't think it was WC because he was not in the Police force during the time frame mentioned by that poster (2014 ish I believe).

Thank you for posting this emstarr, I appreciate you voicing the need for women to share their input. I assume Quackquackquack has taken issue with original post in which I theorised the possible scenarios that may have led to SE entering WC's car. Let me clarify first and foremost, I am absolutely not in any way trying to undermine Sarah or in any way victim-blame her. I'm not trying to make assumptions about her character or get some weird kick out of speculating what may or may not have happened that night. I think I speak for all the young women on here when I say that her murder has absolutely sickened me to my core, to the point where I couldn't leave my flat for days without the company of my flatmate, even during the day. The exact same happened to me two years ago, following Libby Squire's death, which still chills me to this day. My intention with the post was to simply voice that I cannot make any sense of why this sickening murder happened and how it could have happened in this day and age. I guess my way of trying to get to grips with the situation is to try and put myself in the shoes of Sarah and empathise with how the poor girl was feeling in the moments that led to her death. Sarah's disappearance has resonated strongly with me because I grew up very close to Clapham and am very familiar with the area. I have two younger sisters and each of us have been on many nights out in Clapham, so this has really hit each of us very hard. The thought that Sarah could have easily been one of my sisters or female friends feels all too real and chills me to my core. Anyway, I don't want to rabbit on and inflame anyone. I just wanted to clear the air on any misconceptions made about my original post and its intent.

I absolutely empathise, and for me while sexual harassment is an everyday experience (I wish I was joking) - it's taken a more sinister turn in light of recent events, where I'm thinking more deeply on what I've experienced previously, what all women do, and what we accept as normal but what can quickly turn into something more dangerous. I feel that to be open about this on this kind of forum, to consider the various outcomes, thought processes, possibilities and emotions we ourselves might feel in Sarah's situation, while also possibly gaining some foothold or clarity on what truly went on that night - because while we're not trained detectives there's something to be said for a group of brains bouncing back and forth on each-other - is truly the right way forwards. Nobody here is being insensitive at least not that I've seen. The tone is one of respect, sadness, and a genuine hopefulness for a future where we can go outside at night and feel safe. As it should be. I only wish it had been that way for Sarah. It hurts my heart.

I do not feel you should have to defend, explain away, or make excuses for your thoughts on what could have happened, and in fact that is the issue facing women right now. I did the very same thing earlier on in this thread, hypothesising that if I'd have been in Sarah's position and someone showed their badge and said "Why you out in lockdown", I'd very well have responded complicity.

Please continue to talk openly about this, and to not feel in any way silenced. I think silence has been plastering our mouths long enough, don't you?

Car enthusiasts, let's fix this once and for all. What make of car is this please? Thank you!

EDIT: Front logo etc. ???
Apologies if on an earlier thread you’ve said already. But in the circumstances I think this should be reported. Regardless of the make. Appeals still request any footage no matter it’s significance.

Crime stoppers is anon.

This is the man in prison for the Lin Russell murders. What an uncanny resemblance. He has always shouted out that he is innocent.

I think I am onto something here

You cannot assume the police have seen everything. someone should report it and let the police deal with it. JMO MOO

Someone in previous posts noted that they did report this.

The police will check every single camera that will have been passed using ANPR cameras.

And there is literally no evidence at all to suggest this is them bad the fact it’s a similar time to her disappearing!

I believe it had been reported by the sleuther who found it. I can’t tell for sure what vehicle it is, just that firstly it looks strikingly similar to the suspects vehicle, is within the timings of the known disappearance and thirdly that strange, out of the ordinary happenings seem to occur during this brief period. Hence why I wanted to bring it up again as it seemed to have not been given clear discussion today in the multitude of threads on the case.

The scene on Poynders road is still a bit of an enigma.

It appears that the lead to him came from a bus camera, they would have surely already checked all cctv from there as it was only a few minutes walk on from her last location.

So did the bus camera pick up the actual abduction?

If it was just the car driving around that area I wonder what led them to do such a specific search of just a few meters of pavement and the small grass park behind.

If it just captured more general footage of the car or her in the car you would expect the search area to be much wider

I keep wondering about that too.

Good point. However another poster upthread pointed out that F&F have appealed again for witnesses. I would infer from this that the actual abduction/attack/act has not been captured on camera (or surfaced yet).

Ah see I sort of interpreted that as them being aware of what was about to be released by the IOPC and indirectly urging others to come forward to add extra possible charges and reduce chances of reasonable doubt. But fair point.

Car enthusiasts, let's fix this once and for all. What make of car is this please? Thank you!

EDIT: Front logo etc. ???

Is there much point though respectfully? We don't know the make and model of the hire care he's supposedly rented. Like you said before the police would have removed this if relevant.

I am hoping that this is LE doing things by the book and investigating the reason WC wasn’t suspended sooner following the 28 Feb complaint which may have prevented WC from being in London on 3 Mar. I’m hoping that the 28 Feb incident wasn’t immediately identified as WC and the wording of the statement/probe is standard procedure to see, having now with hindsight/more evidence realised it is likely/certainly WC responsible for the 28 Feb incident, IF more could have been done to prevent WC being in London on 3 March.

In other words: the two officers handling the complaint may not have done anything wrong but, given the likely perp of it is now highly suspected of going on to commit another crime, an investigation has been set up to verify that.

I hope. If they’ve knowingly left him out on duty, they’re done.
I suspect it’s mandatory to report to IOPC if a police officer is arrested for a crime that was reported to police previously. I hope that’s all it is
