Yep right on the border!
The services are West of Swanley and right in the border of the boroughs of Bexley and Bromley but actually just inside Bromley. Although you cant see which borough is which in this map you can see where the border is. I'll see if I can find a better link. So as the McDonalds is in the borough of Bromley I believe it comes under the Met Police

MOO JMO – Occasional WS visitor, first-time poster.

I don't know if it's been officially confirmed anywhere that what was caught on the bus camera was WC's car, maybe it was him following SE on foot?

It's been stated that SE's call to her BF was normal, ended normally and her BF wasn't worried until the next evening, when they were supposed to meet and he didn't hear from her. This was when the alarm was raised that SE was missing, I believe. As it's been theorised by other posters on this thread, maybe WC rented a parking space on Poynder's Road in order to avoid central London/congestion charge etc. and get home to Deal quicker. This would be his link with the area and reason for being there after his work shift ended.

WC exits the underground at Clapham South and follows the same route as SE to get to his parked car, walking behind SE as she's talking to her BF on the phone. She talks about their plans the following evening and what she's doing the next day (working from home, presumably). WC can hear her side of the conversation and now knows:
1. She isn't on her way to meet her BF/anyone, just heading home to her own flat
2. If she goes missing now, this won't become obvious until the following evening

SE ends the call in a normal manner, her BF isn't alarmed. WC is right behind her and approaching where his own car is parked. He seizes the opportunity to bring her under his control (element of surprise, strength, and training in getting people quickly out of dangerous situations are on his side) and into his car.

Maybe this is why the doorbell footage hasn't been publicised – because WC is also visible walking close to SE. This also explains how the timing is so perfect – SE ends her call normally, BF doesn't think anything is up, two minutes later the phone is off the grid and SE is gone.

TLDR: WC happened to be behind SE on foot, walking from the Underground to where his car was parked at Poynder's Court – listening to her phone call. From listening to her call, he knew the alarm wouldn't be raised right away and his car was close by, so he took a chance (possible reason: knew he was going to get caught for IE incident a few days earlier or escalating behaviour).
Good point, he could have been caught on camera following her on foot

Erratic and odd behaviour and work absences reported by his colleagues beginning in 2020, extending into this year

this does not make him mentally ill though!! i've been at work all day, come home to read this has been decided as 'fact'......no,no minimising or excusing him

The psychology aspect of all crime is a subject worth talking about. I have tried to phrase my comments without directly accusing him of anything I have just talked about the general groups that these sorts of offenders fall in.

When it comes to suspects who have an alleged history of sexual deviancy, it’s a good idea to discuss what type of person we could be dealing with here, it also makes others aware of these offenders that women who read these threads might know or even live with. If the profile of a sexual offender was something we all knew to look out for and to keep away from people who give off those red flags then it could ultimately save a woman or child who might otherwise find herself trapped with a dangerous individual. They are not far fetched assumptions when you look through some of the threads here and realise that repeat sex offenders get released back into the community free to carry on their crimes, time and time again imo.
I cant agree with this. You are putting all men who may have had a difficult childhood and recommending women avoid them, and that is just not true.

Hi sorry just catching up again - has there been a police update yet? I saw that ITV News reported they were expecting one but I haven't seen anything yet?

Yikes.
From The Telegraph:
"The police officer suspected of murdering Sarah Everard was accused of exposing himself twice to staff at a fast food restaurant, but colleagues failed to identify him because they did not carry out a basic number plate check, the Telegraph understands...."
Can't read rest due to paywall
Sarah Everard case: Police failed to carry out basic number plate check on suspect

I find this quite strange.

I can understand that with one incident them maybe being a bit slow/not treating it urgently but two incidents in the one day in the one place is actually quite a different matter IMO. It suggests someone who is determined and taking quite a risk and might actually be intoxicated and an immediate risk.

I don’t understand the police not placing that as an urgent case when the second report came in.

I've narrowed down the body to being found likely close to one side of the rail line based on photographs of the private ambulance. Unfortunatly the rail line really disturbes the thermal imaging satellite data and there are a lot of changes it creates day to day. You can go more zoomed in on the site but still not very obvious anything is there, here is a link to a timelapse I created: imgur.com

Sounds interesting this but I'm not entirely sure what to look out for on your timelapse...

Possible. My guess is that he saw SE from his car

Thanks. Do we have any idea where in the woods? I am looking at thermal satellite data for the area from the days before/after and see some interesting things but would like to try pin it to a more specific area.
Well, there is one interesting area there that would likely register on a thermal satellite - didn’t know about those...

There’s an update coming imminently from Scotland Yard.

Interesting. I have also wondered if maybe she had a few drinks at her friends - this hasn’t been mentioned anywhere. Possibly he stopped by to ask if she was ok and she explained her phone battery had died but was on her way home ? Maybe he offered her to charge her phone in his car for a minute so she could resume her way home safely and he was an off duty police officer. so many potential ways he got/forced her in the car but this seems like another good possibility, especially if she was drinking.

it has been mentioned as we know she bought a bottle of wine to take to her friends.

And no that doesn’t sound a likely possibility re getting in a car at night just to charge a phone when you’re not far from home JMO

9:30 was the last phone mast ping not when she was last seen

MSM reports
She was last captured on a doorbell camera walking along the A205 Poynders Road towards Tulse Hill at around 9.30pm.

phone call ended abruptly 9:28

No

I find it inconceivable that the courts could be used that way at all. Let alone very well respected human rights advocates who brought the case for the organisers

It is going ahead. Despite MET.

This, but also please can we all stop talking about mental illness like it's a cause of indecent exposure, abduction and murder. I have bipolar, I have never done any of those things. If I did do them, it would not be because I'm mentally ill.

Makes it so much more real when you have been to those places yourself. Can’t tell you how many times we have got food there coming home from somewhere!!

Given they had CCTV including no. plate info its harder to process that he was not at least questioned in a timely manner which ultimately may have prevented this. I do however appreciate police don’t have unlimited resources and if there were other more serious crimes it’s a case of when they get to it.. makes it even more horrendous for her family 🤬🤬🤬

Well he was either a big eater or the two events occurred within a very short time frame?
London is hectic, all the time, it's possible and reasonable to believe they just never got round to it..
I'm not making excuses, just presenting an alternative scenario.

If someone is described as acting oddly, is exposing himself in public that person has a mental health imbalance.

She is on police bail as she has not been charged with any crime - and as she is not detained, it doesn't need to come before the Courts yet
How can she be on bail to appear in court at a later date if she has not been charged with a crime?

Sounds interesting this but I'm not entirely sure what to look out for on your timelapse...

The whole area gets warmer/cooler based on the time of day/weather BUT areas where it gets warmer where the area around it has not would possibly indicate some kind of unusual heat coming from that area.
