Could be

I suspect there might be more info out there.

For instance one of the first things is that a call until 9.28 provides a continuous tower connection for 15 mins until just before the new doorbell sighting. When she came off that call, i would expect data to sync - indeed one of the first things i check when coming off a call is for any messages.

What we've been told about the towers is likely only the first level of detail that they have.

I do exactly the same as you. Checking messages or using the phone other than to message or call could be feasible within the 2 min timeframe.

Incidentally, I’ve found this report where her friend Rose Woollard (not the one at Leathwaite) confirms the end of the call with the partner is indeed the last contact anyone has had with SE:

Sarah Everard's uncle begs 'if you have her, let her go' amid murder squad hunt

Anything is still possible at this stage, but I am generally sceptical of an opportunistic street attack of an adult woman in inner city london because I think she would have been found relatively quickly. More commonly happens in remoter locations. So not impossible, but not likely IMO.

I am wondering if she made it home - which is not ruled out.

To me a more controlled location is suggested

Family travel from York to join search
On Sunday (March 7), Sarah's family travelled 200 miles to join police and search teams in a desperate attempt to find her.

Metropolitan Police and London Search and Rescue teams have been seen scouring Clapham Ponds and the surrounding parkland over the weekend in a bid to find clues which may lead to her discovery.

According to The Sun, Sarah's York Uni professor dad Jeremy, her mum, sister Katie and brother James joined the search.

*The search has entered it's 5th day*

Updates as missing Sarah Everard's uncle makes urgent plea as search continues

It's interesting that the source for the call is 3rd hand - and doesn't appear to have been confirmed in the official Met info?

Those are my thoughts too - I think she went back to somewhere else (diverted) and something tragic /accidental has happened either there or on route there.

I also agree with this, to suggest a random street attack would imply a level of carelessness / opportunistic behaviour on behalf of the person who did it, so I think she would have been found by now. It seems much more complex than that.

I currently think an opportunistic attack (possibly somewhere near Clapham Park Estate) is still the most likely scenario, but its true, there isn't very many places to hide a body here. I find it hard to believe she would have walked down a quiet side street on her own accord as she had likely stayed on the A205 road because it was busier. Most of the streets around here are overlooked by residential accommodation and despite lockdown there still is a few people out and about throughout the night as you can see on cctv- so I can't imagine her being taken against her will over much of a distance or a body moved far. It was only 9.30pm.

If she isn't found soon and no new evidence is found, then I would lean towards something happening in a car. I wonder is this half way point significant as she may have decided to walk half way and get a taxi the remaining route. If her phone ran out of battery she would have not been able to use Uber and would have to get a taxi on the road but there can't be many taxi's due to lockdown. I wonder is this area significant? The lack of appeal from the partner in the media is interesting. All comments have come from family/friends. They could be a private person, it could be a new relationship and so he doesn't feel it's his place, they could be in bits etc but it's still unusual.

I don't think that this is all that unusual. Over a decade ago, my then partner went missing abroad (but was found quickly, although it wasn't a happy ending). We'd been together for 4 years and had lived together so it was a serious relationship, however from all the media reports you wouldn't have known I had existed. His mum was very protective of me as she had had previous (unrelated) experience of the media, and all the statements came from 'the family' or via the police, but I was very much involved in the background. I don't think too much should be made of the partner's lack of statement - as you say there could be many reasons that he has not been visible in the appeals.

On the note of doorbell footage. We have a ring doorbell and it records in stills every few seconds, we only realised when we were asked to check the footage following a break in, we managed to get a 3 second clip of the side of a car and then nothing after that - also there's all kinds of settings such as away mode, and I believe each mode records differently

The Windmill is quite near the Long Pond, where they were searching extensively at the weekend, including with dogs. Wonder if there’s a scent picked up, possibly discarded property if not worse. Does the bad weather make a scent harder to track? Although it could be where the search teams are basing themselves instead, as it looks accessible by vehicle, etc.

Thanks for the insight

After the fiascos of the past, I know the police often carefully manage media hits from family/partners of victims

I am sure more detail will come through official channels when appropriate.

We don't seem to have a lot of TV appeals anymore, I've noticed. But in this case, SE and the boyfriend may have been in new relationship or simply chosen not to live together. A 'partner' I think is a little misleading as I personally would assume this to be a bit more serious a setup than a 'boyfriend', and sharing the same home, but might just be more due to PC days.

Did she ... misjudge her safety level?
Edited by me for focus.

I think it is quite likely that Sarah misjudged her safety level, but my view is that most people are doing this every time they venture out.

The "default setting" for pedestrians where I live seems to be "earphones in, eyes down". Walking towards someone, and they towards me, I regularly come within a foot or two of that person before they realise I am there, even in broad daylight. Approach this same person from behind, and their situational awareness is zero. All of which fills me with a sense of dread in Sarah's case.

To be clear, we have absolutely no idea if Sarah was "earphones in, eyes down". And everyone, man or woman, should have the right to not be attacked as they walk down the street.

This morning, missing person posters are heavily visible on Poynders Road.

Our reporter Charlie L Jones is in Clapham this morning, although he says no police officers can be seen on Poynders Road.
