Only just seen your fabulous article (I posted my measly, incorrect offering before reading all posts on this page)
I thought your post was spot on - definitely would slow down decomposition

Seems Lacomba and mummy dearest didn't think out the salvaging of the brown shoes too cleverly, there's NO WAY I'd keep those shoes, I'd blow them up first!IMO mum new for sure she took his brown missing shoes and cleaned them and backed him up over and over when asked questions. I highly doubt its normal for the bedding to be changed EVERY time ML stayed but she backed him up on that too! Wonder if mom took pics (like every mom i know) of the xmas tree that year with the spade under? Im guessing she said that was true aswell. Even if BL said mom, sarah has gone missing can u do this and do that and wash this and wash that and can u bk me up on this, you would KNOW it was dodgy and too go along with it is being part to it!
She was probably just as mad as him with all the worry over loosing custody MOO
And lastly if it was ML who made the statement about sarah being moody and alienated then it just says it all for me
interesting article - would recommend having breakfast first
A corpse decomposing in a non-biodegradable plastic coffin may not form an adipocere but may liquefy into a semi-liquid state

Adipocere (/ˈædɪpəˌsɪər, -poʊ-/), also known as corpse wax, grave wax or mortuary wax, is a wax-like organic substance formed by the anaerobic bacterial hydrolysis of fat in tissue, such as body fat in corpses.

Superb!Definitely. I was talking to my OH about the case and we both said we'd get a "murder and body disposal outfit" prepared and then get rid of it very thoroughly afterwards, not wear normal day to day clothes and hope to clean off evidence
Quick edit - if he transported her in some sort of mobile receptacle, suitcase etc, that when wheeled over rough ground would definitely be making loud noises in the silence of the night so I am ruling that method out otherwise a witness would have been found telling police he was seen.
The property in Turkey was a 'Family House bought as an investment' Im not clear if this is still held, or by who, or if had been sold on at an earlier date? After my last post above regarding disposal of the body.
I am now looking into a motive to carry out this murder.
It has been said that Ben was getting bought out of the house on a 50/50 equity basis resulting in him receiving a settlement of £50,000 GBP, that calculates the available equity in the house as £100,000 GBP with each party worth the same £50,000 each.
We have been told that Sarah’s 2 eldest boys were allegedly going through the process of a mortgage to buy out Bens share of this house.
What we don’t know is whether they are remortgaging on the same house or raising the equity from another house to pay him off.
Sarah apparently owns a house in Portsmouth, a property in Turkey, a place in Spain ( the Spain one is according to her uncle, Ronald Wellgreen who was quoted in the press saying so ) and also this Bazes Shaw house with Ben.
All that property is a complicated structure of finances.
I think Bens motive is financial as has been quoted.
If he can kill her, get rid of her and only be implicated himself without involving another - he needs a carer for his kids let’s not forget and he will 100% want that carer to be very close to him - his mum falls into place.
Now, now Sarah isn’t around, these finances take on a different trajectory.
He will not need to be bought out of his house although if he is jailed for a substantial term, the house might have to be sold anyway, Sarah’s equity in the house will go to her children, a charge could be put onto that house for Sarah’s share to the kids in the future yet it’s also possible he can claim that as a contribution to raising the kids.
If he gets off with murder and is ultimately released without charge, hey presto, all is good for him, no Sarah, no buyout, kids in the house, mum over the road to help and his life goes on.
It gets messy and more complicated if he is sentenced.
He’s banking on getting away with it.
Also let's not forget they are probably required to have mortgage insurance, so in the event of the death of one of the mortgagees, the debt is paid off.
Can you even get a mortgage for a house that you won't be owning? I know you can get buy to let mortgages but that isn't this scenario. Also l wonder why Sarah didn't sell another property to pay him off?
Edit to say l think there's a reasonable chance he will get away with it. Not sure how the proceeds of crime legislation will affect it if he is found guilty though
