UK UK - Sarah Wellgreen, 46, Kent, 9 Oct 2018 #2 *B. Lacomba guilty*

Where is, this cctv. I haven't seen any, I'll try and post the photo of the parking Area. It's not a car park as such, I think it's actually ment to be a turn around so no spaces are marked out

Looks as though it is used as a car park on a regular basis, even if not marked into specific parking bays.

Not all cctv is released to the media during a trial. If you read back through the testimony, there are several mentions of the cctv that police submitted as evidence. Quite possibly more details will be released post trial.

Do you have a name? Be interesting to compare the 2 ... was the man suicidal or had cause to be? Was he seen by anyone leaving or captured on any CCTV?

Took a few goes but yes; my bad it wasn't that long, only three months (ah the perils of misrememberng timescales!) Alfred Ripley.

One of police's 'most wanted' found dead

And yes he had reason to do it. I read on social media at the time why he was wanted. The thing is where he was found was right next to what is called the back road but there are plenty of cars going up and down it at all hours. If they hadn't been clearing that land for house building, he might still be there now.

Hello and welcome ... I take it you're a local/neighbour?

Do you have a link to where this info is stated please?

What are the thoughts locally?

locally everyone in the village is pointing the blame at BL ... Some of the evidence in court is laughable the witness that stated the car was the cleanest she had ever seen it .. 2 weeks prior to SW disappearance this witness had a huge argument with BL over their children fighting with one another she hated him!! Everything else could just be circumstantial admittedly a lot of things that are listed make him look guilty but when you dig deeper theirs no body no dna no weapon... I’m intrigued to see what the jury’s verdict is

Thanks for that :) ... completely different circumstances though eh

Out of curiosity, what was Ripley on the 'most wanted' for?

Edited to update ... found info

'Paranoid schizophrenic accused of raping underage girl' and he'd sent texts telling people he was going to end his life.

Police 'most wanted' died hours after underage rape charge

I definitely appreciate another viewpoint (thank you) but, these 2 cases couldn't be any different.

Is the witness lying then?

I agree the circumstances are completely different. I was using it to demonstrate that someone could take their own life and it not be discovered, which can't be disproven in this case. I don't think that is the case here, but l'm not sure what a jury would make of it.

I agree in part but there is absolutely zero evidence of any kind that Sarah was suicidal, or that she left the house alive of her own accord.

There's LOTS of evidence that she may have come to harm at the hands of Ben Lacomba though.

I'm usually the dedicated Devil's advocate but in this particular case ... I got nothing! If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck and quacks like a duck ... it's probably a duck!

He
My favourite quotes from the trial. I bet he was sick - it's the only truth so far from his lips.

And meanwhile - the night before the night Sarah disappeared - one of the children had noticed Sarah was missing - but her phones were there and her bed was wet - and had gone downstairs to watch TV - while Ben got up and went outside to listen to wild animals.

This piece of toast is looking almost burnt now.

IMO
also told the witness that Sarah was missing but at that point he had no idea she was missing

This is what judge Judy says and it’s so right !!

Just that there may not be enough hard evidence to charge him with anything. I'm only an amateur by the way, I don't know all the ins and outs of things but I feel like it is one of those cases where we all know that he is guilty of something and lying through his teeth, but not enough evidence of exactly what he has done to bring fair justice.

Can I ask if he’s found not guilty what happens next ? Is the case over or will the police carry on looking for SW . Can B be brought back to court if they find evidence?

The case will likely remain open. BL could be retried if new evidence is found.

If he is found not guilty despite the obvious guilt he would have to be a complete bloody idiot if he thinks he could just slot back in to normal life with mummy over the road to help him.

Who is going to employ him or turn up at the nerf gun things now. Who will want him coming to their house after a play date to pick up the kids he don't care about his kids and their lives. I don't see any friends and neighbours coming out in support of him.

If he is found not guilty the police won't let it lie nor will the public, he won't be able to go about with out getting yelled at. I bet he leaves the country to live in one that won't extradite you if he wins this and I bet he takes mummy with him.

I hope he's found guilty what he's put his little kids through is absolutely despicable when you look at how he is with his mum and how he can't live without her and even though he's nearly 40 there she is by his side every five minutes yet he murders their mum whilst they are so young. Just awful.

I leave you all alone for Two Days and come back to a Local Council meeting about Bin Collection ;)

No Wheelie Bins?! Wtf am I paying my CT for?

Monday statements will be interesting.

Mrazda's post detailing the huge and weighty cicumstantial evidence is telling , IMO.

As discussed previously, for me The Big Lie of not leaving the house , yet almost certainly his vehicle being seen on route, will seal the deal.

@Alyce , take the update reins and ride this nag of a case home ;)

Ps. Nice to read new local faces. Welcome

Mañana

Section 45 refers to "Power to restrict reporting of criminal proceedings involving persons under 18."
What is going on?

I think it just refers to the occupant of the house who says both BL and SW were absent on the night SW went missing.

I totally agree but I'm just worried about the lack of actual hard evidence
