I am curious as to why this victim's fundraising page has gathered so little. They are *way* short of their goal and after such a long time. Sad.

A msg was posted on Sarah's official 'Missing' FB page from her son:

A message from Sarah's son; Lewis as we approach the trial -

Not long now Mum, only 8 days left until we start to find out the truth about what really happened back in October last year, we still miss you every day, with court starting so soon it's getting so much harder not being able to have your guidance with the hard times ahead

Goodness, that gave me a lump in my throat!

Immeasurable pain for those children to not be able to visit their mothers grave, or grieve for her properly.

It also caught me that it seems the fam don't know any details from police as to what they believe happened to SW. I know they must keep things close to the vest, but at the same time, must be so difficult to have an arrest of a perp known to the victim and not know why. Not to mention the chaos it would cause with SW's youngest kids in regard to who would have authority to take care of them.

@Alyce Linked me to the thread this Morning. Compelling. Smashing work all involved throughout.

It's always a different perspective, reading a Thread in One sitting isnt it?

We dont have any real knowledge of the details of the case against BL, it certainly strikes me as clear why he is the Suspected Perp. The home cctv cameras off, the cctv of the Car on Thames side, the complex emotional and legal events of custody/property etc, ( recent and ongoing stuff at the time)...

Just a few things made me wonder on readthrough...( some points may be resolved in wider reading, which I havent done etc)

There seemed to be little info on SW's new job offer at improved salary...given that NJ is stated as being involved in recruitment, wondered if he may have been instrumental in securing this job? ( Nearer to him? Further from Kent home?etc.) Would like to have known more detail on it.

As one of you guys said, it would have been interesting to hear from SW's friends etc that the reconcilliation and future plans of NJ/SW had been shared amongst some of them. ( Anyone)

Why the 'Panic' that SW had not replied/responded to NJ after such a brief lapse in time? Odd. Controlling imho. ( unless there was an awareness of the likelyhood of a situational Threat /Danger that we are not aware of)

Obv not a poi but he unfortunately sits somewhat uneasily with me tbh due to many things on reading through ( a lot already pointed out at times in thread)

'All-Night-Cars' Obv the Thames Side cctv and subsequent mudflat search/ house re-search is compelling, but late movements/journies etc maybe not as uncommon as for non taxi employees?

Could later ( or more obvious and decisive) removal of BL's taxi from residence for examination on arrest be due to a storing and later relocation of body? Esp if ,as youd think , an earlier look revealed no forensic redflags?

Obv lots of complicated emotions/relationships/details that we rightly only have an inkling of. Much much more under the surface. A lot of mistrust and obfuscation in many of the interactions.

Just some thoughts off top of head. Cheers all.

SvS

Ps. Hope she's found and Justice is done, esp for those close to her.

ETA... bit about awareness of threat

I'm sure the children are being looked after as much as possible.

I think people aren't donating yet as no body has been found and murder has not yet been proven. If it is made very clear that she is dead and never coming back people might feel more comfortable donating then. Everything is in limbo at the moment.

I am not sure why they need to fund raise.
There is property owned by the family.

There is property owned by the family.
Neither parent is available to take care of their kids... for one thing. I'm sure some money would be helpful to whomever has taken on that responsibility.
I was wondering if there may be confusion or doubt regarding who exactly this fund has been set up by?
I'm sure whatever funding is in effect once facts are known, the public will start contributing. Seems these kids will be raised to adulthood without benefit of either parent, so money is always helpful.

His Honour Judge Christopher Kinch has been the Resident Judge at the Crown Court at Woolwich since 2013. Located near HMP Belmarsh, his court is the location for the trial of some of the most serious criminal cases including the Hatton Garden Safe Deposit burglary. Before his appointment Chris had spent many years in practice as a barrister including 13 years as a silk (QC) prosecuting or defending in cases of murder, fraud and other serious crimes. He served as Head of Chambers at 23 Essex Street and as Chair of the Criminal Bar Association in 2010-11.

From Legally's link above

The jury pool of 12 with four on standby was selected today and will be sworn in tomorrow.

Ben Lacomba, who previously appeared at Maidstone Crown Court, will go on trial tomorrow (October 1).

He denies murdering his ex-partner Sarah Wellgreen.

Proceedings will be heard by judge Christopher Kinch QC and will begin at 10am.

We will be there covering the case live from the courtroom.
