Police have appealed for help finding a missing teenage sister and brother from Inverness who are known to frequent Caithness.

Police Scotland seeking assistance of the public in finding sister and brother Silvena and Mattias Wild, 16yo and 15 yo respectively. Thought to maybe be in the Scottish region of Caithness (north-east corner of mainland Scotland) or town of Inverness.

imo, slightly worrying that Police Scotland appeals only in two very local newspapers. Nothing so far for example on BBC Scotland website.

Yes, I couldn't see any comments but both siblings have 'laugh' reacted to the appeal post. JMO but I think they're putting distance between themselves and a possibly turbulent home life.

I hate to say this but I worked in the care sector for a few years here in Scotland. I also have experience with the care system, you’ll find most missing person posts in Scotland concern “looked after children” which is sad in itself. There’s a sort of game going on for a few years where they’re really active on social media the full time they’re missing, usually there will be a group of them and they’ll see who can go the longest without being caught. I’m speaking from experience here too. I hope these two are ok and sort out whatever problems they have in life. Wishing them all the best.
