The family of a missing Scot have told how his four-year-old daughter "needs her daddy home" as concerns continue to grow for his welfare.

Shaun Banner was last seen in Invergordon in the Highlands during the early hours of Saturday morning.

The last known sighting of the 34-year-old was near the town's railway station at midnight on April 23.

His worried loved ones say that the dad "wasn't himself" at the time of his disappearance.

Shaun's partner, Bexy Ross, said: "I'm sick with worry and trying to stay busy to keep focused.

"We all want him home. His daughter Tia needs him home."

[...]

Police dogs, helicopters and quad bikes have been also been drafted in to the search operation, but no trace of the dad has been found.

Locals have also been working round-the-clock to comb grassland, woodland and farmland in their hunt for the father...

“SEARCHES for a missing Easter Ross man have been continuing on shorelines and river banks with members of the public being encouraged to share locations of where they have looked.

Shaun Banner (34) was last seen in Invergordon after midnight on Saturday, April 23.

Intensive searches have been launched since then with renewed pleas from his family to people to keep talking about Shaun's plight and share his photograph.

His brother today, on behalf of the family, posted: "We are going to be continuing our searches of the shorelines and river banks. "What I would like to do is to spread the word as far as possible.

"I want to expand our searches outwith the Cromarty Firth and covering more of the Moray Firth and Dornoch firth and beyond. "Fortrose, Avoch, Cromarty, Balintore, Portmahomach, Edderton, Bonar "If you are in these areas, please let me know and have checked!

"It would be really good if people could spread the word and post and let us know where has been checked. You can do this by pinning on your maps on your phone and sending in a screenshot or using Strava."

"THE brother of an Easter Ross man posted missing last month has explained why recent searches have focused around shorelines and beaches.

Thanking well-wishers for continued searches around coastlines, Shaun Banner's brother Alan said it is because his family has a "strong suspicion" that he is in the water.

This is because one of the shoes he was wearing washed ashore at Nigg Beach, he posted."

"In a post this evening, Shaun's brother, Alan, said: "We are getting more and more people coming forward now saying they had been speaking to Shaun the night before he went missing and on the days leading up.

"If you had been speaking to him and haven’t said to myself, my mum or (Shaun's partner) Bexy can you please get in touch?

"We are trying to get the best possible picture of Shaun's contacts and movement on the lead up to this and we are now finding out information three-and-a-half weeks down the line. You maybe just write it off as nothing but this could be something of real importance to us as a partner, brother, mother and family."

The shoe that missing man Shaun Banner was wearing on the night he disappeared has washed ashore, his family have confirmed.

The item was found at Nigg Beach in the Highlands by a volunteer as part of a search party looking for the Invergordon dad and has been handed to the
police.

Hi Guys,
That’s us at six weeks now that Shaun has been missing. We have exhausted all of our efforts at this point and are being consistently told that if he is to be found that it’s likely to be someone who is out walking that’ll come across him. This just highlights the importants of being out and being vigilant when searching the shorelines and beaches. Please continue to do what you can and know that we appreciate you all giving up your time to search for Shaun and if you are please fire me a message or pop a post up on the page.
Let’s get him home!

Please continue to Share,
It’s important that people know Shaun still isn’t home yet so searches can continue.

Thanks,
Shauns Family
