Police helicopter involved in search for missing Scot Steven Morrison as concerns grow

The 38-year-old was last seen by family around 9pm on Saturday, November 6, in Westwood Avenue in Ayr.

Steven Morrison was last seen by family at around 9pm on Saturday, November 6 in Westwood Avenue and was reported missing after he failed to return home.

He is described by officers as white and around 5 ft 8 inches in height, with brown hair and a medium build.

It’s not known what clothes he is wearing.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Steven, with officers reviewing CCTV footage and using a police helicopter to carry out a search for him.

However, attempts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Police Scotland is appealing for assistance in trying to locate a 38-year-old man, missing from Ayr.

Steven Morrison was last seen by family around 9pm on Saturday, 6 November, 2021 in Westwood Avenue, Ayr. He failed to return home and his family reported him missing today.

He is white, around 5 ft. 8 inches in height, brown hair, with a medium build. It’s not known what clothes he is wearing.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out to locate Steven, however, attempts to trace him have so far proved unsuccessful.

Officers are continuing to review any relevant CCTV footage and the police helicopter has been carrying out a search of the area.

Inspector Martin Fraser said: “Steven’s family is growing increasingly concerned for his well-being and they just want him home safe and well.

"I am appealing to anyone who may have seen Steven or who has any information as to where he might be to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1235 of 7 November, 2021.
