Oops posted on wrong thread, sorry! But I agree, Frank Bruno should not have been shaking hands with that man, it's all very odd.

I think this was a set up by Jimmy Savile.
How can anyone not know who the Yorkshire ripper was and what on earth was Bruno doing inside Broadmoore?

I think he had been invited to open a new wing.

JIMMY Savile’s brother Johnnie was sacked by a hospital for groping a woman patient.
He lost his job as recreation officer over a depraved “sex game”.
The woman complained he mauled and groped her — and he was axed for gross misconduct. Savile, 61, claimed unfair dismissal from Springfield Psychiatric Hospital, Tooting, South London, in 1980. The hearing was adjourned.

Did anyone see Have I Got News For You on Friday when they showed the clip of him saying he used to live in a caravan? When they asked what he used to do in it he said something like "anyone I could" or words to they effect. Hislop said he thought he was a sleaze when he was a guest years ago

Were the Savile's abused as children?

I don't know the answer to that Agme and doubt we will ever know.

I did look at the Nolan sisters clip (the Top of the Pops one) and he is so blatantly rubbing the side of the young Nolan girl's breast.

Why would anyone want to shake hands with Peter Sutcliffe I do not know either.

Bruno was there to open a gym I think. It's very disappointing that he shook hands with Sutcliffe for that picture. It looks like he's the kindly, important celebrity meeting the star "patient"

Jimmy Savile: 'Whatever is said after I’m gone is irrelevant'
Jimmy Savile did not care whether he was reviled for molesting children after his death, saying: “I’ll leave it to the psychologists to sort out the psychology of child abuse.”

Savile spoke of rumours he abused children in a 2001 interview, insisting that “whatever is said after I’m gone is irrelevant”.
“If I’m gone that’s that,” he said. “B------- to my legacy”.
The interview, published in the Sunday Mirror today, includes Savile’s response to allegations he was a ‘paedophile’.
The DJ, then 74, told an Irish newspaper: “Whatever is said after I’m gone is irrelevant.”
When asked whether he was “into little girls”, he said: “I’d rather not even opinionate on this. I’ll leave it to the psychologists to sort out the psychology of child abuse.”

He joked he had previously told reporters he “hated” children and “couldn’t eat a whole one” in order to deflect attention away from sordid rumours.
“That’s because I want to shut up someone trying to go down that dirty sordid road with questions like that,” he said.
In a 2000 documentary by Louis Theroux, Savile issued a similar denial when asked why he persisted in saying he hated children.
“Because we live in a very funny world,” he told Theroux. “And it's easier for me, as a single man, to say ‘I don't like children’ because that puts a lot of salacious tabloid people off the hunt.”
When asked about tabloid questions regarding paedophilia, he added: “How do they know whether I am or not? How does anybody know whether I am?
“Nobody knows whether I am or not. I know I'm not, so I can tell you from experience that the easy way of doing it when they're saying ‘Oh, you have all them children on Jim'll Fix It’, say ‘Yeah, I hate 'em.’”
Police are now investigating a catalogue of allegations spanning six decades and involving 60 potential victims.
Last night Commander Peter Spindler, head of Scotland Yard's specialist crime investigations, said: "We can now confirm that we have received information from the public that suggest allegations against Jimmy Savile span six decades with reports starting in 1959 up to and including 2006.
"Having now had the opportunity to review progress one week on I have revised my estimate of the number of likely victims to be about 60.
"Once again I want to thank those who have come forward and reassure them, and anyone else who contacts us, they will be listened to."
Scotland Yard is pursuing 340 lines of inquiry in the Savile abuse case and so far 12 allegations of sexual offences have been officially recorded but this number is increasing, police said.
Metropolitan Police detectives are in contact with 14 other forces as the number of allegations against the former DJ continues to rise.

Saying he "couldn't eat a whole child" sounds like a joke a necrophile would come up with - those attracted to dead bodies often fantasise about eating them to make the corpse a part of them.

Revolting, inappropriate and just beyond comprehension

One souce said he took ‘trusted’ patients out for day trips in his Rolls-Royce and spoke of his sexual fascination with dead bodies. The source, a daughter of a principal nursing officer, told The Mail on Sunday he ‘liked to have his way’ with young females visiting their relatives. Standing at the main gate ‘in his swimming trunks, gold chain and sunglasses’, he would entice the ‘poor dears’ with the promise of a cup of tea in his caravan.
Savile’s behaviour caused friction with staff who felt he was undermining security.
A senior member of the Prison Officers Association said: ‘Savile had the run of the place. He would walk into the most secure areas containing the most dangerous patients in the UK. He was told these men and women were dangerous, but he just laughed it off and did his own thing.

I have said it before and will say it again, heads MUST roll. This was not right. For all their heinous misdeeds, these were some of the most vulnerable people in the UK.
I am almost rendered speechless

BTW we are edging closer to the morgue tales

What I find even more inexplicable is that this out and out TWAT was providing so called marriage counselling to the Prince and Princess of Wales. It just blows my mind.
Is anyone surprised at the outcome of that???

If the miners at South Kirkby pit knew what this alleged kiddy fiddler was up to he'd have been thrown down the pit shaft.

Vile: Jimmy Savile molested teen moments after being pictured with her in her parents' home - then sent sick note
...Sylvia Pontin had made the mistake of innocently sitting alongside Savile when he called in at the family home to see her jazz *musician father, who was pals with the TV presenter.

But shortly after this snap was taken, Savile callously betrayed the trust of the 18-year-old and her parents Stanley and Phyllis by attacking her as she gave him a lift in her car.

When disgusted Sylvia begged him to stop he simply turned round and launched himself at her friend in the back seat, groping and fondling her in the same way.

Then, after he’d left Sylvia shaken and traumatised, the shameless star sent her a postcard calling her “Sylvie” with a chilling picture of his face.

It said “Eye love Sylvie, so there says Jimmy xxxx”.

Lies from the BBC Director General
The BBC director general's claim that he did not ask what Newsnight's Jimmy Savile investigation was about has been described by BBC insiders as "barely credible" and "ridiculous" as the growing row threatens to split Newsnight journalists.

George Entwistle's insistence that he never asked about the nature of the Newsnight investigation has been derided by commentators and journalists.

There is also evidence of "extreme tension" in the Newsnight newsroom after its editor, Peter Rippon, not only dropped its Savile investigation but then d id not follow up on Newsnight for nearly two weeks after ITV screened a documentary.
