His family spoke out in June 2012 against the rumours

With savile's interest in death and his liking of young women and children could he also have a fanscination with the murder of children and young women?

I am just appalled at how poor Frank's judgement must have been at the time

I am utterly disgusted that Frank Bruno would shake hands with such a monster.

Absolutely he could.

I'm waiting for the revelations on even more BBC paid perverts. I'd also like to know why people appeared on the tribute to Savile if they had previously been informed about his behaviour. I know the BBC pay over inflated wages, but come on:furious:

This thread really ought to be moved from the "crimes against children" section. A proportion of the victims were 16 or over, or dead young males (I don't know how old exactly). It seems his (living) victim of choice was a young female, as young as possible while being past puberty. Also, the most scandalous aspect of this story is how much this man was allowed to get away with, how many extremely influential friends he had, and how much genuine power and control he was allocated by those high up. This bizarre and complex story runs really deep and is a lot about corruption within institutions, the paedophilia (or more accurately "hebephilia") is only one facet of it.

Police to hunt for Savile evidence at Broadmoor (Independent)

JAMES CUSICK MONDAY 15 OCTOBER 2012
Scotland Yard detectives investigating the growing list of child abuse allegations against Jimmy Savile will visit Broadmoor psychiatric hospital in Berkshire today in an attempt to gather new evidence about claims that he sexually assaulted patients at the high-security facility.

The Met's focus on Broadmoor, given the former BBC star's lengthy association with the hospital, indicates its determination to ensure that if anyone helped Savile at any point through six decades of alleged abuse, and they are still alive, they will face serious criminal charges of culpability and conspiracy.

For now it's hardly the breakout item it will become if somebody other than Sunday Sport chooses to pick it up and run with it:

I have had a good look around the internet this afternoon. It's amazing what you can find out about Savile, going back years. His autobiography, his interviews, including one with the famous Psychiatrist Anthony Clare, etc etc. He more or less admits what he was, so how did no-one see what was staring them in the face?

I think his victims will run into the high hundreds. I believe that senior people in our society actively covered up for him. He knew politicians, gangsters, police, royalty, top people in broadcasting... the list goes on. That is the only possible explanation. What hold did he have over some of these people? He wasn't from the same social class: he was an ex-pitman and wrestler, - a funny little man in a tracksuit who was a DJ, did kids TV and raised money for charity. Poor Frank Bruno, taken under the wing of that devil. No wonder he has had a relapse in his mental illness.

I would be interested to know more about Savile's connection to Peter Sutcliffe. Sutcliffe stated in the trial transcript that one body was left near to Saville's home. How did he know where Savile's home was? He had many homes. Did Savile know Sutcliffe before Broadmoor? Did Sutcliffe visit Savile's clubs years before the murders? Was Savile involved in even more than assaulting children?

What a disgusting saga. Peadophiles are everywhere in the power structure of our society - here's an interesting report from 11th October this year about another suspect, a Head of Childrens' Services at a London Council, no less. You couldn't make it up:

To be honest I think its pointless having a go a Frank who's only crime as far as we know is shaking the hand of Sutcliffe. There are far worse things on this forum, considering Frank now has mental health problems I dont think its fair.

I would be very interested to read more about Sutcliffe's relationship with Savile.
I would not be at all surprised if Savile was involved in someway with the ripper murders.
