30-year-old Thomas Bates from Stourport-on-Severn, was last seen in Lydney in Gloucestershire on Thursday 2 March.

He was last seen in a blue/silver coloured Hyundai I40 registration number EX67CXZ. The vehicle is believed to be in the Chepstow area.

Thomas is described as a white man 5ft9 tall, with a shaved head, close shaven with stubble, slim build but muscular at top with tattoos of song lyrics and phrases on both arms.

He usually wears tracksuit bottoms and a big grey jacket with fur around the hood.

Thomas’s family are extremely concerned for his welfare.

Thomas, 30, was last seen in Tesco Superstore, Chepstow, at around 9.30pm on Thursday 2 March and officers are concerned for his welfare.

He is described as 5'9" tall, of slim build, with a shaved head and tattoos of song lyrics and phrases on both arms.

Thomas was last seen wearing a grey coat with fur around the hood, a light grey hooded jumper, black jogging bottoms, white trainers and a baseball cap.

He is from the Stourport-on-Severn area, with links to Chepstow.

We’re appealing for information to identify this man, who may be able to provide crucial information as part of enquiries to find Thomas Bates from the Stourport-on-Severn area, who has been reported missing.

Thomas, 30, was last seen in the Tesco Superstore, Chepstow, at around 9.30pm on Thursday 2 March and officers are concerned for his welfare.

Officers would like to speak to this man who was seen speaking with Thomas outside the Tesco Superstore and may be able to assist with their enquiries.

Mr Bates has now been missing for 12 days, and his relatives are “extremely concerned” for his welfare.

He was originally the subject of a missing persons appeal by West Mercia Police, but the search has now expanded into the Gwent area.

POLICE are still searching for a Worcestershire man who was last seen in Chepstow and has now been missing for more than two weeks.

Thomas Bates, 30, was last seen at Chepstow Tesco at around 9.30pm on Thursday, March 2, and officers remain concerned for his welfare.

Thomas had been working in Lydney on the new residential care home and had been staying in a cottage on Church Road in the town.

He is from the Stourport-on-Severn area and has links to Chepstow.

The body of a man was found in the Gloucestershire area at around 3.10pm on Saturday 1 April.

We can confirm formal identification has taken place and the man has been identified as Thomas Bates, 30, from Stourport-on-Severn.

The death is not being treated as suspicious. His family and HM Coroner have been informed.
