Red bold by me. Interesting. Do you think it was a slip of the tongue, or that he spoke a truth by accident. 'That' girl - not a very loving way to refer to the girl they all adored, is it?

I think a slip of the tongue.

I am very hesitant to go back to theories I, amongst others, posted yesterday as they caused such upset amongst some people.

And why so adamant over the statements made by his wife's ex. Why stick up for him?

Personally I think he was the supplier to the lot of them.

ETA - Protect the supplier and protect the SUPPLY. KWIM?

I agree with that Soozie. I believe SH would definately have said he phoned, if he/they had phoned. Doesnt make sense not to put that very important point into his Oh So Chatty Interview, because surely it would show him in the best possible light, the concerned person.

My take, just my opinion of course, is that SH and or CB did phone NS/DN but its a phone call they dont want anyone to know about. And the reason they then went over in person was for discussions of how to resolve the situation.

That was one of the first things which puzzled me about this case. Child doesn't return to grandmother's house on time ..... she doesn't ask around the neighbours to see if Tia has been playing with them since she got back, she doesn't phone Tia's mum to see if she decided to go home after all and she doesn't go to the shops where Tia was meant to be going. All logical first steps if you ask me. No, they decide to go to a local Fair which Tia never appears to have mentioned going to, then drive to the mum's house - leaving the house which Tia should be returning to, empty and locked. No way!!

On the few occasions when my son hasn't remembered to come home on time (he's 15 and refuses to get a mobile!), the first thing I've done is gone on Facebook and left a status message asking for one of his mates to let me know where he is (that usually does the trick!), or I'll text his mates or even jump in the car and go the usual places he hangs out. I have never ever considered driving to a completely random place which he didn't have the money to enter!

When we read him saying :THIS HOUSE:, it is of course possible that he was speaking to the interviewer from Grandmonster's house...

That is indeed a possibility.

His total support of SH shows as does his attitude towards Tia .

Was the trip to the fair before any of the police searches of Gran's house?

If any one was the big cheese in the supplying line I think it would be DS

Do these houses like Tia's Gran lived in have basements?

No. They basically have two floors and a loft space for storage.

  • #568
Sorry that was not clear.

I was interested that you too had the impression that DN expected Tia home that evening.

I know I read a statement from DN which indicated that.

Then later that seemed to have been changed to him leaving Tia on the sofa with her friend.

I have tried to google articles about this but they have been removed online.

I definately remember reading that somewhere as well, near the beginning of the time Tia went missing.

i doubt it,i don't know a house in my entire area that has a basement :waitasec:

wish i had one could use the extra space

The alleged trip to the fair was before Tia was reported missing.

AS far as reports show CS and SH left the house empty after Tia had only been late back by an hour or so and went to the fair .

Maybe they needed someone they knew at the fair hold onto some things for them?

Not sure about the UK, but we call folks who work at traveling fairs "carnies". It is not looked up very highly here, how about there?

Maybe they were trying to create an alibi? I wonder if Tia may have died a lot later than we have been thinking. Maybe something happened just after CS got back from work? They rushed to hide her in the loft, then went somewhere very public to ensure lots of people saw them? The flip flop story was to place Tia away from their house for the day? JMO.

I distinctly remember a statement when he said I, as in' I said as I left for work, I said see you at 6'. Not as if he was quoting what HS said.

DN was a builder so possibly could work different hours .I think of going to work to be around 8am or earlier.

When speaking about Tia borrowing her mother's phone he used words which indicated Tia found her phone dead just as she was leaving.

I still do not think NS would have lent Tia her phone.

There was no mention of where NS was that morning which I do find strange.

Does anyone know whose phone was apparently left charging at CS's house - NS or Tia's? The 'dead phone' story - much like the 'see you at 6pm' story (on Thurs/Fri) - has been mentioned by both DN and SH. Could they have colluded on the 'story' but then one or both of them messed up in the retelling of it?

Interesting that DN is not a suspect (as far as we know) - presumably has a watertight alibi for Friday - but we don't actually know who saw her last - or when this was. Last CCTV was on Thursday in a shop - so no evidence that she actually made it as far as CS house on Thurs (alive).

If whatever happened occurred on Thursday as opposed to Friday - leaving 24 hours to agree a story - this might explain why Tia was reported missing so early on Friday (early as in just a few hours after she supposedly went missing and not after all other possibilities - friends/neighbours etc - had been exhausted).

The 'story' is that Tia's phone wasn't working when she left Mitcham, so she took her mums. It was the mum's phone that was allegedly still charging at Gran's house the day Tia went missing.

Although it makes more sense to have reported her much later than when she'd actually gone 'missing', it would definitely imply more than one person was involved, and if that's the case, the placing of the body in the loft of the house where she was supposed to be staying that night makes no sense at all.

I'm watching Thirteen Steps Down and the main person (Mix) sideswiped his woman with a flashlight (torch) and she died. He then rolled her off the couch onto a sheet and wrapped her in plastic then secured it with tape. There was just a small amount of blood on the carpet in front of the couch. He then placed her between the floorboard joists. After a few days the body started to smell.

I think a similar thing could have happened to TS.

I think the Sim cards got changed and that's it with the phones. SH had to make an excuse about charging it but they don't take that long to charge do they?

Shoe story was made up for two reasons. One - the boots were there at the house and two, to place her as leaving the house.

I think TS died Thursday while gran was at work. Gran finally got it figured after the house started smelling but didn't give up on SH and his lies.

That's my take on it. Plain and simple

It was stated that Tia’s own phone was “broken” not just without charge when she left her parents place.

It seems to me, that in a fairly short period of time, that Tia was having an inordinate amount of problems with mobile phones, what with breaking hers, getting a loaner from her Mum, then leaving that one behind when she went “shopping”. We know that she never went shopping, so that leads me to question whether her her own phone was really broken. I hope by tracing both of these phones, that the police are able to piece together a more exact timeline.

NS would have had to give permission for her phone to be used.

Perhaps they had the same model 'phones and just swapped the Sim cards? Not sure permission would be required for that.

ETA: Just noticed SallyLu's post above (although did suggest same many pages back).

One more thing. PM may have heard the commotion and figured it all out later but never said anything.

I think the police have PM and CS for those reasons stated in this post and the one I posted before this one.

Perhaps mum needed her phone back!
If it was moved it would show on records.

DN came across on tv as being more annoyed than concerned. Can't understand the "that girl" - it sounds like he was mad at her...
