Police want to question far-right activist Tommy Robinson after an alleged assault at St Pancras railway station in London.

Video footage [at link] emerged on social media showing Robinson walking back and forth near a motionless man lying on the floor at the station. The clip does not show how the man ended up on the floor.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said officers had found a man on Monday evening with "serious but non-life-threatening injuries". It added that a 42-year-old male suspect had boarded a flight out of the country in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

Robinson, 42, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was contacted by a female BBC reporter for comment, but Robinson responded with a message that said "slag".

Anyone with information about the incident has been urged to text 61016 quoting reference number 655 of 28 July.

Hopefully he'll be caught soon and will be back in jail where he belongs.

London Ambulance Service used a blood transfusion bag to treat the victim.
One witness told LBC: “I saw around eight police vehicles - cars and a van, lined up outside on both sides of the station.
“I saw an unconscious man being worked on by paramedics – they erected curtains around him.
“They were trying to resuscitate him – and there was what looked like a blood transfusion bag.”

So he's going for the "he started it" defence. Not one that usually works for Tommy ten names.

I'd like to see the 60 seconds of video before what has currently been put on line.

It's all too easy for people with an agenda to upload carefully edited clips which give a distorted or misleading impression of an event, only for a very different picture to emerge later when longer clips with more context become available. As we have since seen with this brawl.

So why didnt he stick around and wait for police. If there were any witnesses who saw what happened they could have confirmed his story?

Tommy Robinson arrested in connection to assault

British Transport Police did not name Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, but confirmed a 42-year-old man, from Bedfordshire, was arrested over an assault in London on 28 July.

The force said the arrest took place at Luton Airport shortly after 18:30 BST on Monday, following a notification that the man had boarded an incoming flight from Faro.

I didn't realize so many people on this site are Tommy Robinson supporters. Explains a lot tbh.

Stephen was in prison because he believes the laws do not apply to him, imo.

He was jailed in October for multiple breaches of an injunction made in 2021 that barred him from repeating false allegations against a Syrian refugee who successfully sued him for libel.

The judge noted there was an "absence of contrition or remorse" from Yaxley-Lennon, but added: "He has given an assurance that he will comply with the injunction in the future, that he has no intention of breaching it again, and that he is aware of the consequences of what would happen if he breached the injunction again."

In a separate case, the Bedfordshire resident is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 5 June accused of harassing two journalists.

He was charged with two counts of harassment causing fear of violence between 5 and 7 August 2024.
