UK- Two suitcases believed to contain human remains found, man seen acting suspiciously @ Clifton Suspension Bridge, Bristol, 11 July 2024

Where did the taxi driver pick him up from?
Did his accomplices drive him close to the scene and then he got a taxi or did he travel all the way from London in one?
What if he arrived to the pub in a taxi and picked up the suitcases? But that is not likely because the witness stated that the black man (not our guy) tried to take the Uber the witness booked. If his buddy was in the car, he would know.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said on Friday night: "A man, aged 36, was arrested at an address in Greenwich early on Friday, 12, July. He has been taken into custody where he remains. This is not the same man we are appealing for."

I have no idea if the bridge was the intended destination, but throughout history it has been fairly common to dump bodies a long way from where the person was killed.

Before DNA and national databases, creating distance made it a lot more difficult to identify the victim or connect them to the killer. That is no longer true, but the killer(s) in this case might not be smart enough to know that.

The guy their looking for didn’t have on gloves, propbably have his dna, and the female.

What's the name of the pub? I can't see a pub near the bridge.

Are we sure they are related?

Do the times match?

Did Police confirm these people are POIs?

Why would the other two men who were seen with the suitcases in public not have finished the job?

Yes this may have led to the search in London and the arrest. You would expect things to move quickly now.
In my opinion the group travelled from London with the man who has yet to be found doing the final part of the job which was intended to be the cases going into the water.

I believe Clifton Suspension Bridge has those high fences because for a long time it was a very popular suicide spot.

JMO
Still is - the road underneath it is closed fairly regularly

I'm trying to find an article with the exact name, but Clifton village is full of pubs and it's right by bridge

The Mall pub

I am quite confused by the number of suspects here.
Is it the man in the photograph plus one additional male and a female?

So it's not a pub right by the bridge? When people say that, they mean Clifton village is right by the bridge?
OK, indicolite has replied - it's called The Mall. Thank you.

The witness saw 2 men with the cases. A woman also helped to move the cases. He didn’t think that any of them were the man in the picture.

Me too but I think the male and female they're talking about were the random strangers who tried to help and made a joke about bodies in the cases?

The Mall Pub?

Witnesses described seeing two men with suitcases in the Clifton area of Bristol, a short distance from the bridge, on Wednesday evening.

Giles Malone told ITV News West Country he had been waiting for an Uber near The Mall pub when he saw two men lifting suitcases across the road shortly after 10.30pm.

ETA.
He said: ‘We were stood there waiting for our car and a man and another man got out of another car across the street and they were lifting these suitcases across the road for some reason, right by us.

‘Another lady started to help them and the lady who was helping them said “These are the heaviest suitcases I’ve ever lifted – what’s in them, bodies?”’

Yeah maybe it was the male in the photo, the cab driver and a random female passer by?
