This case is close to my heart as I worked in Felixstowe for many years and had met members of Vickys family, including her mother. Vicky was only a year older than me and I sometimes wonder what kind of woman she would have become.
On the 18th September 1999, two weeks before her 18th birthday, Victoria Hall had been out for the evening with her friend Gemma Algar at the Bandbox club in Felixstowe. They'd not had enough money for a taxi so decided to stop and get some chips and walk the two miles home to Trimley St Mary. The pair split up around 2:20am near to their homes and a few minutes later Gemma heard femail screams but thought it was kids messing about.
Friday 25 September 1999 Vickys naked body was found in Creeting St Peter (around 20 miles away) near Stowmarket by a dog walker. Post-mortem examinations showed that she had been asphyxiated.
Adrian Bradshaw from Felixstowe was tried but found not guilty of her murder at Norwich Crown Court in November 2001, since then the case has remained open.
